Tamara has represented me on four separate transactions, both as buyer and seller. Super responsive, strategic, level headed and, dare I say it...fun to work with! The numbers are always important to me, and Tamara has always been more than worth her commission, whether it is negotiating me an excellent price as a seller, or a great deal as a buyer. Tamara also has a solid network of vendors and contractors that make it easy to stage houses, get repairs done, and get estimates for repairs as a buyer. In short, Tamara is the bomb and I've never been disappointed working with her. read more

Tamara is my go to real estate agent in North county San Diego. She is very reliable, responsive and honest. She has helped my sister find her dream home and she helped my parents sell their condo. Both transactions were flawless and we have been very happy with her services. So much so that we intend to use Tamara's knowledge and expertise in the future! read more

My wife first discovered Tamara when checking out local realtors in the area. As a prior out of state realtor, she recognized Tamara as the brightest agent around. When it came time for us to buy our second residence in the Carlsbad area, she hung in with us as we searched for the perfect house. With our unique requirements, she made the search so much easier. When we found the house, she was very instrumental in dealing with a lesser experienced agent in a totally non confrontational manner. She is tops! She gets our highest recommendation. read more

My brothers and I needed to sell a family-owned property and we were looking for an experienced listing agent and neighborhood specialist. I first met Tamara when driving in our neighborhood one day and noticed open house signs strategically placed to ensure potential buyers would be able to find the open house where I met Tamara and found her to be very professional, personable, knew the area very well and answered all my questions not to mention she was hosting her own open house, which was an added plus. From there we scheduled an appointment with Tamara. We liked her ideas for marketing and listing the property and proceeded with Tamara as our agent. Tamara was professional throughout from first meeting to close of sale, responsive, reliable, went above and beyond, kept us updated daily, walked us through the entire process and was an absolute pleasure to work with! We cannot say enough about Tamara! We highly recommend Tamara Strom for all realty needs. read more

I have worked with Tamara Strom many times over the last 13 years. I know her to be honest, ethical and one who puts your best interest above any other concern. There was one time she talked with me about a piece of property she thought would be a good fit for me. Looking back, I wish I had trusted her more with that. There was another piece of property I really, really wanted to buy. Tamara reviewed it, was able to explain the potential pitfalls of the property and why it would not be a good fit for me. I DID listen to her then, so glad I did!! Buying that piece of property would have put my future in jeopardy. Finding an honest and ethical person to help you with what is probably the largest decision you will ever make is priceless. I found Tamara Strom to be that person read more

Professional, Knowledgeable, Trustworthy, Responsive and Committed. My husband and I were interested in purchasing a home from out of town which can be quite a challenge. It has been an absolute pleasure working with Tamara! She has over exceeded our expectations and we would highly recommend her to anyone. We have sold and purchased properties with Tamara and I could not recommend her more. When we were searching for our house in SD we're still lived in LA and she made the process of doing it from a distance so easy on us, scheduling all the viewings back to back on the weekends so we could see everything we wanted in one visit as much as possible. This was a little over two years ago when the market was crazy and they were dozens of offers per each property so of course they were a lot of request rejections but Tamara's calm positive attitude really helped us through it. She has excellent knowledge of the local market the neighborhoods and it is a dream to work with. She also has great connections with general contractions, painters, plumbers, electricians, you name it. By this day, if I need a referral to any home repair specialist I reach out to Tamara. Overall, Tamara is a wonderful, professional realtor, and I will work with her again if I ever sell or buy in San Diego area. read more

I can't believe I am the first to write a Yelp review for Tamara Strom...she is an amazing real estate agent, and I cannot say enough great things about her. I just finished the purchase of my new home, this is my third but the last 2 times I was married, and this time I did this all alone, and before I got started, the thought of going through what can be a very difficult process, was almost too daunting for me to even start. Tamara made the whole process smooth and easy. She sent me homes that fit my criteria, made useful suggestions, and was very responsive at all times. When I found the right house, we got in and made a same day offer, and it did get into a bidding war...part of why I own this house is because Tamara is also easy for the other real estate agent to work with. She is professional and clearly knows what she is doing, and I know that part of why they chose me is because they knew that Tamara was not going to make rookie mistakes and draw out the process. We had a 30 day escrow. And when it came time to have the home inspection, she sent me to the greatest inspector, I appreciate her expertise and referrals so much! http://www.yelp.com/biz/richard-overton-property-inspections-encinitas#query:richard%20overton And, then the fact finding that Tamara went and did for me, that was part of the negotiations that we went through, she save me over $30,000 by doing her due diligence. I highly recommend Tamara Strom as a real estate agent! Such a great experience! read more

Our experience with Tamara Strom was top notch. She is a professional all the way. We were first-time home buyers and knew next to nothing about how the whole home buying process worked; all we knew is that we wanted a place of our own, where we could express ourselves freely and where the efforts we put into converting a house into a home would directly benefit us, not a landlord. We were so lucky to have Tamara orient and guide us through everything. She helped us to clarify our needs versus our wants and refined her search techniques accordingly. Our communication with her was always received and responded to promptly, a characteristic that, in our opinion, is KEY and demonstrates her superior level of professionalism and her genuine interest in making the experience a smooth one. Every time we went out to see possible homes, she had the pertinent information printed out, in packets, for our reference and had already contacted the other side's agent to get any additional details - she was always prepared. Her experience was even more evident when we entered into the phase of making offers. We fully depended on her regarding how much to offer and what our strategy would be. Her advice and decisions were spot on, every time. We felt secure with her knowledge and background and knew she would guide us correctly. When the seller became a bit problematic, Tamara was quick to contact the other agent in order to find a solution and stayed on top of the situation, updating us constantly on how things were going. Through her perseverance and experience, she was able to maneuver the issue at hand and get things back on track. After we closed, Tamara did follow-up with us to make sure everything was going well. This was very much appreciated. We are extremely happy with our experience with Tamara. She is a wonderful professional who is communicative, resourceful, empathetic, kind, positive, an attentive listener and flexible. We would have been lost without her. She was truly our guiding light. We highly recommend her for any real estate transaction. read more

As first time home buyers relocating from Boston to California, we cannot say enough about Tamara's work ethic and professionalism. Tamara went the extra mile to truly understand our wants and needs and was determined to not only find us a house, but the home we envisioned (and in our dream neighborhood!) Tamara was super thorough and quick to respond when it came to answering all of our questions (since we are new at this, there was a lot to walk us through!) which made us feel comfortable and open with her. There were times we were on the East Coast and unable to check out a new house on the market right away, and she would make the effort to check it out for us and send us pictures and detailed summaries on the goods and bads. Once we fell in love with a house it was her advice, suggestions and referrals that allowed us to seal the deal with ease and a feeling of comfort knowing we were making a wonderful investment. We likely weren't the easiest of clients - we had a tight time constraint with relocation but were also very picky when it came to finding the right house. WIth Tamara's knowledge, thoughtfulness and understanding, we now have the keys in-hand after a quick escrow and are ready to start a new life as a young family on the West Coast. We highly recommend Tamara Strom and truly couldn't have asked for a better experience! read more

Tamara is the best! She came to us highly recommended from close friends, and worked so hard for us so that we could find the perfect home. As first time home buyers, we had lots of questions and there were a lot of things we didn't know. Tamara was great at educating us without ever making us feel like our questions were silly. She returned all calls and emails the same day, and always made herself available to see homes with us, even ones we weren't particularly interested in, so that she could get a feel for what we liked and didn't like, and to help us prioritize what was really important to us. In the end, Tamara found us a home through her own professional network, in a way that other realtors who aren't as 'dialed in' to the local market wouldn't have been able to do, and we DEFINITELY would not have been able to do on our own. Thanks, Tamara! We love our home and loved having you as our agent!! - Kevin & Wendy read more
