It feels like it goes back room after room. Be careful because when you turn around, you might knock something over! It appears that most of the toys are used. I think it didn't help that my friend was looking for a new toy, preferably made in Germany. The toys were from everywhere, including from the US. There are some throwback toys, that was fun to see. The nostalgia factor is definitely present and make sure you have the time to explore. It is like taking a trip through time. And make sure you have time when you come by this toy store.

The owner was very nice & tried as best as he could to help me in English. He has a lot of very cool toys & statues that I would've definitely purchased if I was not traveling. I bought a few comic books as I was specifically looking for German-print Marvel & DC comics! This place had a MUCH better selection of old books in German. The other shop had mostly English-print. The owner was even nice enough to pull out a chair for me to sit on while I looked through the books :) I hope his business does very well! If you're looking for a cool comic shop that has great collectibles please visit Toyboxx! He gave me a nice deal as opposed to trying to charge me extra as a tourist.

Karstadt treats customers poorly. Shoppers should take their business elsewhere -- especially…read moreshoppers who are apt to be bothered by security staff in department stores. (1) I assume it is illegal to handle a customer physically without good reason. It is certainly bad business practice. (2) When you wish to question a customer you've stopped at the exit, you should tell the customer where you are taking them, and it should be someplace other than an isolated office in your garage. (3) Once a customer has emptied their pockets and bag, you should not continue to detain them and ask repeatedly where the clothing they left in the changing room has gone. If the customer tells you they do not know, and your security footage shows no incriminating evidence, then it is time to let the customer go. You are allowed to question the customer, not to interrogate them. (On a side note, it is silly that the men's shirts can't be tried on and frustrating that this policy is only stated on small signs in the changing rooms. In any case, most of the men's button-down shirts have too many pockets to be worn in business settings.)
