I reached out to HALO on Yelp and within an hour they let me know someone could be here in the afternoon. Chernet came out and diagnosed the issue quickly, replaced the capacitor in 5 minutes, and made double sure the air was cooling as it should. The price was very reasonable (especially for a Saturday) and the service was fast, friendly, and honest. I'll definitely keep HALO in mind for future needs!

I went to Yelp looking for a better option and definitely found one! Halo was able to come out within a couple days of contacting them and the diagnostic fee was $89, which was to be applied to any work performed if needed. it turned out it was a tripped breaker they were able to reset and my system is cooling perfectly again... for $89!! The most notable and appreciated factor for me is they didn't come in trying to sell me service plans, upgrades to my system or accessories, or otherwise upsell me on a well maintained and well functioning older HVAC system. Even when I asked for a quote on a heat pump to take advantage of the rebates while they last, Halo didn't push me to pick the most expensive option or upsell me on a pricier type of system. And icing on the cake - despite a lot of in and out while working on figuring things out, my technician was constantly putting on and taking off booties to keep my house clean. It's a small token of respect that goes a long way, and I very much appreciate it! I'll be using Halo and referring them to friends and family in the future!

Very helpful and willing to go the extra mile. Every obstacle that presented itself has been cleared with no problem. We started with a request for service on a very old system, the response time was ultra-fast. As I had feared our system would have been extremely expensive to repair (outdated refrigerant), so we decided to replace the system. We were presented with several options allowing us to decide what fit our needs. I'm very pleased with the rapid install and the friendliness of all the staff we've had the opportunity to work with, you guys rock! Also, I had a small issue with something I installed years ago, I mentioned it didn't work and Clayton offered and then fixed the issue with a smile on his face. Shoutout to Nathan, Jordan, Jose, Clayton and Melissa, hope I got everybody we've had the opportunity to meet. 5 STAR service all the way!!! Thanks again.

If you're looking for an HVAC company, this is the one to use!!…read more I bought my home in 2021 and have worked with several different HVAC companies over the years. Most would poke around, suggest another random repair, and leave without ever looking at the bigger picture. It wasn't until Fort Collins Heating & Air came out that someone evaluated my entire system. my unit, ductwork, vents, return air, and everything in between. They didn't just fix symptoms; they worked to find the root of the problem. From my technician, Rob, to comfort advisor Derek, and Jim in the office, I truly had a team rallying around me. They took the time to explain my options, answer my endless questions, and come up with the best solution for my home. As a single homeowner, the decisions and costs felt overwhelming. They never pressured me. Instead, they educated me, carefully assessed my home's needs, and helped me choose the right system with confidence. If you need HVAC help, don't waste your time calling around. This is your one-stop shop. I can't recommend Fort Collins Heating & Air enough!

Hunter from Fort Collins Heating & Air Conditioning earned my trust today. My air conditioning…read moresystem suddenly stopped cooling, I scheduled appointments with two HVAC companies. As a homeowner without a technical HVAC background, I wanted more than one professional opinion before making any major repair or replacement decisions. Hunter took the time to thoroughly evaluate the system and explain what he was seeing and why. He found that the capacitor had failed, which prevented the outdoor fan from operating properly. He explained that because the fan wasn't running, the compressor had overheated and temporarily shut itself down. After addressing the capacitor issue and allowing the compressor to cool, he re-tested the system and verified that it was operating correctly. What impressed me most was that Hunter didn't just tell me the system was working--he showed me the measurements and explained them in plain language. He walked me through the refrigerant readings, explained what R22 is, and showed that my system was producing a 21-degree temperature difference between the return and supply air, which is exactly where it should be. As someone who doesn't speak "HVAC," I greatly appreciated having the numbers explained in a way I could understand. I also appreciated that Hunter was honest about the age of my equipment. He recommended budgeting for a future replacement because the system is older, but he was equally clear that I did not need to replace it today and that he did not see an immediate safety concern. He never pressured me into purchasing a new system and answered every question patiently and professionally. In the end, he restored cooling to my home and gave me confidence in the diagnosis by taking the time to educate me throughout the process. His honesty, technical knowledge, professionalism, and willingness to explain everything clearly made a stressful situation much easier to navigate. If you're looking for a technician who will thoroughly evaluate the problem, explain things in terms a homeowner can understand, and provide recommendations without pressure, I highly recommend Hunter and Fort Collins Heating & Air Conditioning.
