I understand St Francis has costs to cover, but a more than 1000% markup for routine services for an uninsured individual without any good faith estimate is robbery. I've been through multiple rounds with the billing department with nothing more than the run around. There is a reason they lose to Stormont so often. Avoid the lesson yourself. Don't support a poorly operated hospital.

They NEVER called her back when she tried to sign up for intensive outpatient treatment. She then tried to get admitted to stormont vail west. Dr. Hahn denied her because of mobility issues. They then posted on my chart that she was denied because she didn't say she was suicidal. She is suicidal. She tried before this to be admitted and they gave her the runaround. I believe Hahn denied her admittance in retaliation because she previously complained about his behavior and inability to provide her any real help for her mental health. This man needs to be investigated before someone takes their life.

i have worked here faithfully for 4 months in the lawrence pulmonary specialists clinic i will…read morenever ever apply recommend or work there ever again! my boss trish flummerfelt and brandon fired me 5 min before i clocked out, for not meeting timeline requirements. first of all i have text messages and messages asking my boss trish flummerfelt for training. never got it! she would leave me on read wouldn't respond, she would racially profile me and only speak to the same color she was! i felt unsafe around her and my other boss brandon as well. they both have poor communication and didn't hear me out when i needed them ! all the providers i was working for complimented me on a daily so me getting fired was absolutely shocking !!!! i have worked my butt off and i was not properly trained my "bosses" never sat down with me and actually gave me or spoken to me about proper training they fired me on my 110th day but said it was my 120th day and never gave me any paper work or anything in writing stating i was being let go. trish flummerfelt ran to my desk and verbally abused me saying she would call security on me after i tried to get my things! i almost called the police because of how i was being treated! trish flummerfelt and brandon are the worst bosses i have ever had very unprofessional and unkind! trish flummerfelt did not communicate or make me feel comfortable to appproach her for proper training or work needs.

Squish Squish- mammogram time! My primary care physician has told me that I did not need a…read morereferral to go here for my mammogram. I was a little hesitant because the last time I went there was a looong line. Grabbed my iPad, my purse and phone charger- knowing I would be there awhile. This time, I didn't have enough time to even sit down. They took me right in and processed my insurance, got all my HIPAA stuff done, signed me up for the online portal and *poof* I was done with the preliminary round. In no time at all, I was shirtless, braless and hanging onto a big machine. It's kinda like a topless jungle gym. The technician was extremely pleasant and considerate. She was mindful of the situation and your comfort level. She was personable without being over chatty which I always appreciate. The machine was heated and, believe me, that is always a plus! In no time at all, I was in my car heading home- with my shirt on, of course. Quick, easy, professional, courteous and caring. This was a great experience in a very comfortable setting. The waiting area was pleasant and nicely decorated, too. All in all- it was such a great experience I didn't mind getting squished.

We were in a room in minutes and the doc and nurses were already waiting for us as we were walking back. Our doc was super thorough and explained things so well. He ran tests that were back in minutes... he wanted answers just as bad as I did. He truly treated my child as if she were his own. The nurses were also phenomenal! I can't say enough great things about this place. My daughter got snacks and a stuffed animal and we got answers. I'll never go anywhere else! Thank you Topeka ER for everything! You truly are the best hospital in Topeka!
