Is your child a nontraditional learner and are you looking for a charter school that doesn't expect…read morestudents to learn the same way as everyone else? If so, I highly suggest you check out SET High (formerly Coleman Tech Charter School). Our son graduated from SET High last year and now our daughter is attending and we couldn't be happier. She is only in 9th grade and already taking on leadership roles. The teachers exceed my expectations. They know each student by name, have great relationships with them. My son's former teachers are always happy to see him when he goes to visit, which is often. He even gave graduation presents TO some of his teachers before he left. The students are geeky, wacky, nerdy, different, intelligent, unique, confident, and wonderful! My daughter said that she didn't want to go to any other school because she is with "her people" and she is right. Dr. McCurdy said in last year's commencement speech, "If you aren't failing, you aren't learning." What a great place to make mistakes, learn from them, and make improvements. I'm so excited for the students attending SET High because they are learning real-world skills at such an early age in a supportive, caring, and fun environment. You won't find a better school for your student!

She is into dance and theatre, but after seeing how awesome SET was, we enrolled my daughter too. Love the school and staff dearly!

The staff and instructors actually care about their students so if you feel lost they are always there to help you out. The Engineering Technician course took about 4 months to complete. It really is an accelerated type of course that teaches you the basic fundamentals of being an engineering technician taking you through so many lessons such as mechanics, electrical, automation, pneumatics, troubleshooting, blueprint reading, just to name a few. They really take you through so many subjects and it is up to you to figure out which subject you want to focus on. When you find out you let your staff and instructors know... they will lead you in the right direction I guarantee it. With this certification you can literally go to any industry and any related position to the course. It really is up to you whether you want to be an engineering technician developing medical devices or an electro-mechanical technician ensuring a production line is running... the possibilities are endless! Thank you to Dr. Rey or Ray our HHA Instructor for always having that backing support to us. (most especially days before the state exam). Ms. Amber for being our most understanding instructor from our CNA class. Our class needs a lot of efforts to make our own self-review. (ofcourse its a matter of doing your own part as well as a student and dont just rely on instructors). If you want to have a better communication, information and update i may suggest going straight to Ms. Tuba. Go to her office and personally look for her. She's one of the most reliable you can ever speak to. Ms. Jasmine the girl who always give everyone a big smile can give you information as well, she's so welcoming and trust me, i feel so comfortable asking her questions (more than the others) who cuts me off and out and got no response at all. Ms. Tuba is the one and very first person i always go to. And i thank her for all. So much Gratitude as i may say! My reviews are pretty much blunt but truly polite. I would like to thank Ms. Wilma, as she never gets tired of handling make up class students (who never cared to listen) But im not one of them. I am the person who listen, never really gets tired to listen. Because from listening comes with learning, and with learning comes with knowledge and with knowledge comes with power. Thank you. p.s I mentioned those that had given me the greatest impact of change. From being a banker, business owner, Guidance counselor to Instructor (from other country). now shift to Health care. If you want a special treatment and much of attention like a VIP - youre not fitted to enroll here. But if your purpose it to learn, only just to learn and have the knowledge you can fit here. Again, If you want to have all information you needed, GO STRAIGHT TO MS. TUBA. (she responds even in the middle of her tight schedules and sorry! In the middle of the night) only to just give you information and get you to the nearest possible schedule to take. Gracias! SDMC
