Test Center Review:…read more Came here for a Pearson Vue test. This center is exactly what I was expecting for a professional testing center. They had high availability of scheduling times even less than a week from when I scheduled the exam. They are efficient with check-in and check-out at the office adjacent to exam room. They provide high-school type lockers to stow your personal items before entering the exam room. You can bring your own lock or use one they provide for you. The exam room is a decent size (I did not feel cramped), you check in with the moderator and that person logs you into your exam. It was a quiet environment, the equipment worked appropriately and the staff is good about directing you from step to step to get you from start to finish during your test day. Free parking --- yes it was pretty full like they warn you about in their directions blurb. I was able to find more than a few empty spots at the back of the lot on a weekday morning though.

We toured SET and my son was so excited. I love that each class is small. I love McCurdy, Ms Heath and all the other teachers. Ms. Geis is such a rad human! My Daughter is the opposite of my son.... My son's former teachers are always happy to see him when he goes to visit, which is often. He even gave graduation presents TO some of his teachers before he left. The students are geeky, wacky, nerdy, different, intelligent, unique, confident, and wonderful! My daughter said that she didn't want to go to any other school because she is with "her people" and she is right. Dr. McCurdy said in last year's commencement speech, "If you aren't failing, you aren't learning." What a great place to make mistakes, learn from them, and make improvements. The staff and instructors actually care about their students so if you feel lost they are always there to help you out. The Engineering Technician course took about 4 months to complete. It really is an accelerated type of course that teaches you the basic fundamentals of being an engineering technician taking you through so many lessons such as mechanics, electrical, automation, pneumatics, troubleshooting, blueprint reading, just to name a few. They really take you through so many subjects and it is up to you to figure out which subject you want to focus on. When you find out you let your staff and instructors know... they will lead you in the right direction I guarantee it. With this certification you can literally go to any industry and any related position to the course. It really is up to you whether you want to be an engineering technician developing medical devices or an electro-mechanical technician ensuring a production line is running... the possibilities are endless!
