Tallyntyre are located pretty much dead centre of Bedlington's busy west end front street. They are easy to find as they have a large bronze sign above their showy window fronts. The window displays are always immaculate here and showcase a selection of the wallpapers, decorating equipment, room furnishings and pictures which they sell. The two main windows are large and spacious and make a huge impact on how glamourous Bedlington Front Street looks!
The store sells a large selection of luxurious and high quality wall paper. The store keeps in touch with the times and there are always new papers to choose from - these are often displayed in the windows. The wallpaper is usually thick, often padded and usually has a complicated design. A lot of the papers remind me of the designs of William Morris.
As well as wallpaper, the store specialise in selling photographic and painted pictures, with many of them being local landscapes. The quality of such pictures is very professional. The prints come framed and are usually quite reasonable in price.
Tallantyre also sell some items of furniture such as ornamental furnishings. These are usually graceful and high quality. In fact most of what the store sells has an upper class feel to it.
