It is easily accessed from either the Sainsbury's carpark or the central carpark outside of the Subway shop. The store has a large staircase outside of it but it can be accessed if you have a wheelchair or pushchair via a ramp that leads alongside the florist shop at the central entrance doors of the mall. The store has two windows which are always set up in an attractive display showing what products they sell. In actual fact it would be quicker to say what they DON'T sell! From gardening equipment, tools, pain, household furnishings, cards, clothes, pet accessories, cleaning products, vitamins, books, underwear, fabrics, toys, stationary, sweets, ornaments and everything else for the home - this is my first port of call when I'm looking for a specifc item at the cheapest price. The store is huge and the aisles are qite narrow. Paint, tools and garden stuff is on the left. Clothes are on the right. Staionary and clothing accessories are in the central aisles. Fabrics are at the back of the store. You can actually buy ready made curtains etc or buy your own length of fabric from rolls. Everything else the sell is located in the far right hand side of the store. It is usually quite messy inside as buyers tend to rummage through the stock and leave it on the floor. Staff are always to be found around the shop to help you. There are often high wall displays where you will need to ask a staff member to retrieve an item. There are usually queues at the tills (there are about 3 or 4 tills). The staff are very nice and friendly though.

Since moving into the area I am a regular visitor to browse around the store. Inside the store they sell a full range of items from clothes, to party bags, to fabrics and materials. I always love the back end of the store where all the crafty items are, including ribbons and craft items at a hevily reduced price to clear the stock! You can get pretty much anything in this store, a must for anyone!

They claimed that they do not normally accept returns, which goes against consumer rights, and then said they would take it back as a 'gesture of good will'. They would not cover the cost of the return postage which for a table of that size was £60.00, claiming that the crack was a 'rustic feature'. The table was not usable in its condition and the crack was not a feature despite their claims. Case raised with citizens advice to reclaim postage.

Not this one. I have only ever been in this shop twice over the space of about 5 years. Same name, staff (wizzardy old man), and old fashioned smells. I bought paint brushes and a watering can whilst singing 'Let's do the time warp', in my head. General DIY tools are sold here such as hammers, nails, paint and gloves. I've recently noticed that this isn't the only local hardware that wouldn't be out of place in the film 'Deliverance'. Maybe local hardware shops will stay like this forever? A handy place overall with plenty of character.

Woodside is a small plant nursery, organic garden and coffee shop situated in an old walled garden…read moreabout 3 miles from Jedburgh. It is one of the most pleasant places I have ever been for a peaceful cup of coffee. The coffee shop itself is in a log cabin in one corner of the garden. it is a reasonably new building, but sits well with the ambience of the rest of the garden. There are bird feeders outside one of the windows, providing hours of entertainment watching the numerous birds. The furnishings are aged pine tables and chairs. There is a woodburning stove and bookcases with books/magazines on gardening and cooking. The menu is very small, 2 soups, the variety of which changes daily, half a dozen different kinds of sandwich with interesting fillings, and about a dozen different kinds of cake. All the produce is homemade on the premises and is delicious. Many of the ingredients are organic and local. I love Woodside - just the place for recharging the batteries.

I find it difficult to leave the house due to disability so they even sent me photos of items that I might like. Ordered over the phone, couldn't be easier. Their furniture is beautiful and good value.
