All of my previous Muni pool experiences have been at West High Pool (closed for summer 2022). This was my first visit to Dimond pool. Let's be honest, West is better in every way, but Dimond is a great alternative. Clean pool, lots of considerate life guards, and nothing of ours got stolen in the locker room. So grateful for Muni pools. Hotel rooms get costly.

One time I was handed a republican choice instead of making the choice myself as I am non-partisan and I like to make educated choices. After a bit of a haggle I was finally given both to make one choice, either Dem or Rep. I also take issue with this as non-partisan I should be able to choose across party lines. This last time, voting for POTUS which I will now refer to as POTATO, the machine that accepts the file was malfunctioning so that I had to take it out of the privacy slip and slowly feed it. Of course the guy manning the machine was using slips and his body to shield my vote, it was apparently beyond the school to build a make shift privacy curtain. Bah! Ruin my voting life!

The SETUP: Grilled Sandwich Station: Here one will find burger options with choice of sweet potato or regular fries. There was a different special here in addition to the chicken tenders, veggie burgers, bacon cheeseburgers, and beyond. The Potato Bar Section: Every day I was there I could choose between a Yukon gold or sweet potato. The toppings WERE ON POINT. So many options like butter, sugar, cheese (shredded and nacho), broccoli, bacon, scallions, and the list goes on. The Question Mark Section (as I decided to name it): A section that changes every day. I saw it contain tasty looking pizzas (at least 8 varieties), Chinese food, and yummy gyros. They have hot meals and snacks, as well as convenient hours including "parent nights out." It is a non-profit parent directed center where families have input into the type of experiences their children will have. I'll be forever grateful for Hillcrest for giving my two kids a fun, rewarding place to spend their early childhood before they start school.
