The quality of these vintage acorn-fed hams does not compare to anything else; smooth, richly marbled, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. It is some of the finest hamon you can find. It is expensive though. For this plate we spent $100 euro. Finding a seat is virtually impossible when busy; seating is sparse, and on busy days you might wait 20 minutes just to snag a standing table. Be patient, that wait is absolutely worth it.

They also sell cured meats and wine. The place is split into two parts. One side is more of a market, and the other side is the tasting room. After the sampling, we sat down and ordered our plates and some wine and kicked back to an amazing meal. The server was great and they even had high chairs. The butcher Artur Serra and his assistant Jorge were at all times helpful in knowing what meat we wanted for dinner, and would cut it or prepare it in any way we asked. The place was cleaned every night until it was spotless. We had the best squab we have ever had from the place, and Artur regularly had rabbit and lamb as well. But pork is the favored meat here, and his offerings were great. We also bought our eggs here, and George found the wine that was available here (Lisbon butchers all sell wine, too) to be a perfectly acceptable vin ordinaire. Artur doesn't speak much English, but we were able to get our needs addressed!
