Very practical and budget friendly ! Emer was my contact. She was perfect. 1* for the Information : The moment I booked the training I suddently realized I had a dozen questions popping up. I simply called Professional Development and was transferred to the person in charge of answering those questions. She took the time to listen to my queries and respond very accuratly. It litterally lifted a weight off my shoulders. 1* For the Trainer : Pat was professional from beginning to end. Everyday was a machine well oiled. lt included theory and pratical exercizes. Breaks were punctuating the day in a smart way. I remember noticing how fast the time went and how interesting the training was. 1* For the Class : The participants were coming from all backgrounds. It was really enjoyable to share our respective experience and see how the tool for Lean Six Sigma could apply in every context. Everybody was very respectful and considerate of each other's profession. Minus 1* For the location : The Carlton hotel in Tyrrelstown was a great place for the training. But the location so far from city center made it very difficult to commute in the morning. The bus 40D wouldn't always be on time or even be available. The taxi was 27 euros a trip. It would be great to maybe add transportation arrangements or make a deal with a taxi company. I am sure I am not the only one who depends on public transportation. I am attending CMI at the moment, and I find the college great central location in Dublin City ,the…read morecollege is well equipped with relax room with free coffee and tea small kitchen and computer's to study on.The teacher's are very knowledgeable and helpful, I am studying for Health and safety occupational certification, it is one evening a week and its fir 6 month's , with online support from Cmi online module called Moodle in which you can review your class work every week.We have exam in January 25th for first part if the course in which you have to get 50% results to go on to 2nd part if course, there is a lot to study for this course and I you wont pass from attending 1 evenings class you must also study at home ,if I had to any thing negative to say I think the college should offer 3 days classroom studying for the amount you need to learn , as you know it's hard to study at home so me personally I would prefer to study in the college you learn much more.I would recommend the CMI college for further education and certification courses. So with that soapbox intro I decided to sign up for a carpentry course. €120 for 10 weeks is excellent value. They have a huge range of courses that you can check out on their website. I will be making a table - woot. And ladies just so you know it's 50-50 girls to boys. And even if it wasn't, who cares - do what you want to do don't be a sheep. Actually the coolest girl in the class and in my opinion the best is a lady that appears to be in her 70s. She is an inspiration. Why visit a library when you can talk to an old person?
