Oil was lost over time and resulted in damage to my engine that was found and documented by my mechanic. My mechanic wrote up his report and indicated an engine replacement is needed due to the damage that was caused. I filed a claim with Valvoline Instant Oil change customer service and instead of sending a third party insurance adjuster they sent the manager of the Timberlake Road site, Ashley Jackman, who met with my mechanic and denied the claim in its entirety. When I went to the Timberlake Road site to get her write up and substantiation for the claim denial, Ashley Jackman, was very dismissive and stated that I can get her get her documentation from their customer service department and gave me the number to call on a document she gave me for valvoline. I immediately stepped out of the shop and called the number she gave me and spoke with the claim agent who said he needed to get authorization from Ashley Jackman. I was placed on hold while he called Ashley Jackman. When he came back on the line, he said they would not be giving me any documentation of the claim denial. This would be needed by my insurance. It is highly unethical and unusual for a company to send the manager of the site who was responsible for creating the reason for the claim to adjudicate a claim and not a third party independent insurance appraiser who does not have conflict of interest. When I called and asked the agent about escalation and need for documentation I was simply told they denied the claim and offered nothing else. Now I have a 2023 Ford F150 King Ranch with a damaged engine and I am in a rental that I am having to pay for as well. I ahev reached out to the Better Business Bureau and filed a complaint with them and will be hiring an attorney to take this to court if we cannot come to a mutual agreement to resolve. This was a massive mistake on their part and the way they handle errors is very unethical and shady and will be costing me in excess of 5000-6000 dollars. What a horrible experience and right here on the holidays to be hit with such a financial blow. I have no idea how someone with the attitude of Ashley Jackman could be in any type of management position and deal with the public. During phone calls, prior to claim denial, Ashley would ask me questions and would talk over me when I was answering.

was charged for a 4 tire alignment in which the back didn't need anyways. went in for front end…read morealignment was told needed a 4 tire alignment and charge $88. was told by mechanic that he could do the front end alignment Bc of a part being damaged but did do the back (which didn't need it). so instead of telling me they couldn't do the 4 tire alignment but charged me anyway. I went to the manager Brian Adamczak asked for a refund and he told me to bring my car back on Thursday for him to lift it and see if the back tires was aligned. Again I need the front end alignment done but told it would need a 4 tire alignment in which the mechanic admitted that he (Jacob) only did the back couldn't do the front to Brian and Brian still wouldn't even give a refund without me returning the car to him for him to lift it to check back tires (again needed the front tires aligned) not the bac. the car shakes and bangs and drives worse then when taking into that shop. Was told by Brian that they would redo it but yet still only says the back tires and not the fron. why would I trust this shop to do anything to my car after they failed the first time to do a front end alignment. Most shops only do a 4 tire alignment so if this shop couldn't do that I should've been told that and not charged for a half job that was supposedly performed.

Few days later she left to drive back to Lynchburg and I was a panicked to later see a puddle of oil where her car had been parked. Thankfully the car survived the 3.5 hour drive. I contacted Larry's and explained the situation, they got her in immediately, diagnosed the issue and had it fixed within an hour. They were incredibly nice to my daughter, she was so impressed. I am very grateful for their professionalism, courtesy and prompt assistance. They've definitely earned a repeat customer!

I called the store 10/4/25 spoke with JUSTIN about my engine light being on, and provided code. He…read moreexplained what it could be, but I would need to bring car in so he could get a number off engine and run test. He explained in detail what could be the problem, but asked me to bring car in, NO PROBLEM. Next, I asked did I need appointment, and cost, he told me I didn't need appointment, and there would be NO cost for test, and it would be up to me if I wanted to get it fixed. This is where everything took a turn for the worse. I went in, asked for Justin, and told the young man at counter, I had just spoken to Justin, and he told me I could come up for him to do test. The young man advised JUSTIN that I was there, JUSTIN told him he NEVER talked to me about bringing my car in, and didn't tell me there was no charge, and the fee would be $98. Next, JUSTIN came to the front, didn't acknowledge me at all, turned around quickly, and went back to the car he was working on, at this point I'm feeling DISRESPECTED, and JUSTIN LIED about a conversation we had about 40 mins prior to me getting there. How would I know to ask for JUSTIN if I had not talked to him prior, and why would I take the time to drive up there?? If JUSTIN would LIE about a PHONE CALL he had with me, I feel he would LIE about anything when speaking with customers. I would advise anyone that talks to JUSTIN about getting repairs, get it in WRITING first. Again, if JUSTIN lied about something as simple as a conversation about bringing my car there, I would question his work ETHIC, as well as his INTEGRITY!! The two employees that I spoke to in the waiting area were VERY PROFESSIONAL, not JUSTIN!!
