They have quite a good amount of programs that everyone can participate in. Of all the facilities that were presented to us, we chose Maunalani. Maunalani was the right choice to get my elderly Mom back on her feet again.

Going…read moreto an in patient rehab that promises hours and hours of rehabilitation per day is spooky on paper, but RHOP is incredible and, as a matter of fact, they seem to have their heads screwed on better than some of the people at Queens. . .but that's for another review. . . RHOP was actually a great time, everyone you encounter is nice, the exercises are hard, but they have to be and I had a really good group of people with me too, like Ms. Helen who is 101 years old and her roommate Ms. Susie who used to DOOR DASH COFFEE to her room every morning, hahahaha. RHOP taught me everything I needed to know to survive at home during my long recovery period between a wheelchair and a walker and I use what they taught me daily. I am 100% sure I would not be as mobile as I am now this soon after surgery if I hadn't gone to them, in fact, some of what I was shown or learned there are integral to moving around. The only mark I have against them, the only warning. If you get to the point where you can venture out of your room and roll around the facility do not leave anything on your bed. On my first day out of my room I got a collared shirt from the gift shop which was then taken by the linen service provider by accident a few days later and I never saw it again. I was told this has also happened with cellphones. They will take the chance to do up your bed when you are not in it so make sure all of your stuff is put away, because whoever does the laundry just bags and tags everything wholesale. I hope I never have to go back here, but if I do it's going to be a good time.

The location was convenient. He was here approximately two weeks. The main reason to going to short-term rehab is if they need more physical therapy and occupational therapy to get stronger to be independent. Sometimes they no longer need to be in the hospital, but may be a fall risk so going to short-term rehab is a good idea. Overall, I think he had a good experience. He did receive PT and OT on most days. I believe it's six days a week. First they started him with a walker, then a cane, and then did trial him on no assist device. I also asked them to make sure he could navigate stairs. He told me the food was pretty good. Staff was attentive. Physical therapist and occupational therapist were personable and provided good therapy. Would definitely recommend this place for short-term rehab.

The 3rd Floor staff was really nice and super kind to my mother. She enjoyed being around them. My biggest gripe is their office staff. Really super bad communication. I would call and leave messages on their voice mail and they would never return my calls. One day I was so frustrated that when I did finally get to speak to someone in a particular department I had asked why do they not return phone calls when messages are left. I was basically blown off and told I don't know. I was pretty stunned about their shear lack of accountability. They would often tell me that they called but I never answered. I would check my phone and I had zero missed calls from them because they never called. Personally, I can't stand them. It was frustrating. My mother was finally discharged yesterday morning. How I found out was through an email Thursday afternoon at 4:45pm that said "We were not able to get in touch with you but wanted to let you know that your mother will be discharged tomorrow." I was so happy to get her out of there so I would not have to deal with that horrible office staff and grouchy people that open the door. I would give them a big fat 0 stars because of their horrible office staff. My mom said 4 but their food is really a 1. So we went with 3 stars.

Been in and out of here two times and am currently here 9_/12/26. Both times so far they have screwed up my pain medication where I have suffered at a pain level of 9 almost 10 for over periods of 3 hrs or more. That's totally unacceptable and all nursing could say is "oh we're sorry " which to me is total bullshit. Medications are always a #1 priority, especially pain medication. The total inconsistencies of the quality of care is what makes me not recommend this place for quality skilled nursing facility. They need to improve on all levels of their business, for me to recommend them at all.

She used to call me at home, to call the front desk, so that they would go and help her to the bathroom. She would press the call button but nobody would come, therefore, she would have accidents in bed. Keep in mind that my mom was 91 and did NOT have to use diapers, but they put her in diapers. I can only imagine how degrading it was for her during her stay. Another cause of concern was only 30 minute visitations were allowed because of Covid. I totally understand this, but your time starts ticking as soon as you sign in. Their elevators are so slow so our visit was only 5 minutes due to the wait for the elevators. We couldn't even visit with her! So sad and depressing. Needless to say, I took her out of this place so that she could live her final weeks at home. I sure hope visits and care are better now for the patients and families.

Kidding... no but SERIOUS... if you're not one to be patient with these kupunas or sickly folks, then you shouldn't work here. Because these people really need a lot of LOVE, ATTENTION & MOST OF ALL... PATIENCE. A LOT OF PATIENCE LET ME TELL YOU...‍ Yeah... a bit cold but I've had encountered issues prior to her coming here and I'm very concerned if she's being well cared for. Especially because there are NO VISITORS ALLOWED UNLESS ITS DIRE NEEDS OR CIRCUMSTANCES ALLOW PERMISSION FOR A FAMILY MEMBER TO VISIT. BASICALLY SAYING... IF THEYRE DYING OR WILL DIE SOON, THEN THEYLL ALLOW A FAMILY MEMBER TO VISIT DURING THIS TIME. STUPID COVID!!! On the other hand, I AM VERY TRULY GRATEFUL FOR EVERYTHING EACH ONE OF YOU EMPLOYEES, VOLUNTEERS, ADMIN DO FOR OUR LOVED ONES & I PROMISE TO CHANGE MY RATING ONCE I GET INSIDE AND SEE THE WHOLE FACILITY IN PERSON SO THAT IT CAN BE A 5 STAR REVIEW. BUT... I hope this review isn't offensive, it's really just a quick thought of what I had based on what we're allowed to get @ this time. Okie dokes! Thanks guys!! MUCH ALOHA & STAY SAFE! UPDATE REVIEW... So far mom likes it here. Not really much to complain about & they have mom up and about everyday like clockwork. Which is really nice to hear. We got her mobile chair delivered & this makes her therapy much easier. It gives her independence and builds strength again. I haven't had much of an issue with her care there just yet, so I can say... it's 3 stars so far. . 4 would be a visit into the facility and 5 would be super excellent feedback from my mom ONCE COVID restrictions are lifted. So there's that. And the fact they allowed us to drop off some signs and flowers and balloons and snacks for her and staff there. Haven't really made it out there in a while. Money has been a bit of an issue for now and so we're trying to get things back in order & home. Once all that's taken cared off, we should making frequent visits. But planning a surprise visit soon. Other than that, staff was very kind, helpful & cooperative when I met them they the glass door. They had nothing but kind words to say about mommy. Oh and they're super cute too because they have BINGO NIGHTS, MOVIE NIGHTS, KARAOKE NIGHTS & SO MICH ACTIVITIES FOR THE PATIENTS... they have a lot of activities to keep them busy. So they're not bored at all. That's the one thing I know for sure! Because they gave away the bookmarks that we dropped off as prizes and the patients were super happy because there was enough for EVERYONE. Everyone WON! Hehehe....
