    SASHIMI COOKED TAKO (OCTOPUS)

This place is a hidden gem. I didn't know about this place until my friend told me. It's been open for about 7 months now. It's in a strip mall area on the end behind Moby Dick. Plenty of parking and space inside. We went on a Tuesday night so it wasn't crowded at all. The food was amazing. A little cheaper than other spots around time. We got a little bit of everything. Combination fried rice was so flavorful. All the meat was cooked perfectly even the steak. The Takashi deep fried role was good. I could've done without the mayo on it but it was good. My niece liked her I don't know roll as well. She also got the beef stir fry. It tasted really good. It kind of had a sweetness to it. My son liked his shrimp teriyaki too. He's picky about his food and he enjoyed it. We even tried 3 different boba teas. They liked all 3 flavors. Can't miss here. We will be back. Can't wait to try more food.

This place is very good and tasty! I got the Bibimbop with chicken and it was amazing! The salad and soup were really good, although the soup was a little salty. The place is decorated really well and feels comfy. The floor is slightly sticky, which wasn't a big deal but annoying to walk around. Service was great and constant and even very accommodating to our little one. Looking forward to going back and trying the ramen!

This is one of those hidden gems I have driven by so many times. It's behind Moby Dick's in Fern Creek. Take the time to find them . Lunch time gives a wonderful price and some of the best sushi I've ever had. But your not limited to sushi. My dish was tonkatsu Red snapper served with miso soup, grilled veggies and fried rice for 14 dollar's ! My grandson indulged two rolls of sushi one Red Bull the other high roller full size very detailed in ingredients I'm looking forward to returning soon. The menu is very exstive the service was great.

Fun place we discovered with friends who live in the area. Food was awesome! Shared Yakisoba, Crab Roll, Bowl, Salad and Beef Fried Rice simply amazing! Amy was the best. Perfect timing on checking with us and letting us savor our meal. Fun time with friends. Great customer service. Good atmosphere. Clean restaurant. Would definitely recommend highly! We would be regulars if we lived in the area!

Great new place! We ate there for lunch today and it was delicious. I had the shrimp tempura ramen and the broth especially had a good depth of flavor. I especially enjoyed the fish cakes in it. We also had the garlic steak hibachi. The portion was huge and again flavor was great. We order the beef yakisoba noodles which were yummy. We ordered 2 deep fried sushi rolls and the rolls were gigantic. I loved the combination of flavors. The staff in the restaurant was very attentive and friendly. The restaurant itself is huge, nicely decorated and clean. This was a great new find and we'll be back.

    Great portions.

Great atmosphere and service. The food was awesome too. They have sushi rolls on there which aren't at other places.

Starting with the waiter, she was very sweet and kind. Asking us about her recommendation and the environment of the restaurant is very pleasing. Food was absolutely amazing just like I expected to be. This place is a 10/10 will come often.

    JALAPENO ATTACK

Love this place!! Ambiance was nice, service was GREAT and food was AMAZING!!! I got the jalapeño attack sushi appetizer and fried scallop poke bowl. When I tell you everything was beyond flavorful and cooked to perfection...I was in heaven. They give you a lot of food so I had left overs. I was going to save it for lunch the next day, but ended up eating it later that night for dinner. Lol. It took a little bit to get our food once we ordered. I seen where people complained about that. It didn't bother us because everything was made fresh to order. It was worth the wait (which wasn't too crazy). Their menu is extensive. I was very indecisive about what to order. I rolled the dice and just picked what sounded the best to me and it was a good choice!! Our bill was less than $30-WINNING I'll def be back and would HIGHLY recommend.

Tried this place out after a friend recommended it and I have to say it was a really enjoyable experience. First off their menu is extensive, I mean they have a little bit of everything. Sushi, ramen, katsu, bibimbop, habachi meals, and more. The seating area is large and there is also bar seating available. Service was great, we will definitely be back.

I've been going to Samurai for date nights and friend dinners for years and every roll is huge and fresh, and I always have great service. Good sushi is hard to find in land locked Kentucky! Samurai must have great sources for their fish because the freshness is very apparent, every time I go. Favorite rolls: Mark's Roll, Happy Sunday, Texas Roll, Barbie's Favorite, Sakura Roll, and Midnight Roll but truthfully, you cannot go wrong. We heard the story of our favorite roll! The Mark's roll was named after a very kind soul that was a friend of the restaurant that sadly passed away. He loved spicy food and was the light of the room, so the fried jalalpeno and flaming plate make the perfect homage to him. The love and care Samurai has for their customers and the community is unmatched! Come cute with 15 people, or in your pajamas with your bestie. The atmosphere is very welcoming; casual but romantic still. Either way come ready to EAT!

I won't be back--and I wouldn't recommend it…read more I ordered their best available Cabernet . The first glass was good, I understand this is not a wine bar so no complaints. The second was completely off--overripe, heavy blackberry notes, clearly oxidized and not the same quality wine. This is what happens when a bottle has been open too long. When I pointed it out, instead of addressing it professionally, the server repeatedly insisted it was from the same bottle and argued with me. That's not just poor service--that's dismissive and borderline insulting. I wasn't trying to get out of paying. I explicitly said I would pay for the glass and not drink it--which I did. I left the full glass on the table. At that point, the appropriate response would have been to move on. Instead, the argument continued. For context, I spent 22 years in the wine and spirits industry. I know the difference--but frankly, anyone could have smelled and tasted how off that wine was. I still paid and tipped 20%, but the issue isn't the charge--it's the way this was handled. Arguing with a customer instead of listening is unacceptable. Do better.

We came here on a Thursday night at 6:00p to celebrate a birthday with our party of eight people…read more We were greeted immediately, but had to wait for our entire party to arrive before we were seated at the hibachi table. As always, the dinner entertainment is quite enjoyable with the large, hot fire, egg juggling, and onion-ring choo-choo train. The food was prepared quite nicely, and the chef was very light with the seasonings. The chefs under the previous management were quite heavy with the seasonings and I always had to tell them ..."light on the teriyaki". On this visit, that was not the case and I appreciated the difference. The hibachi dining experience is usually always a nice one. While it is quite generic, it is enjoyable. We will return.

I came here to celebrate a birthday and we ended up arriving about an hour and 15 minutes before…read moreclosing--which actually worked out perfectly because we were the last table to get the full hibachi experience. Let me start with the food because it was absolutely outstanding. I ordered the steak and chicken hibachi with fried rice, and it also came with two shrimp as an appetizer, plus the ginger salad and soup. I'm not even a soup person, but that soup was SO good. And the ginger dressing on the salad? Honestly to die for. The portions were huge too--I definitely felt like I got my money's worth. We also ordered calamari as an appetizer. The portion size was great and the calamari itself was nice and meaty, but the breading wasn't my favorite. It could've been a lot better in terms of flavor and texture. As for the hibachi experience itself, this is where it fell a little short. Since we were the last table of the night, the chef didn't really do many tricks or interact much. I was expecting more of that classic entertaining hibachi show, but it felt a bit rushed--understandable given the timing, but still a little disappointing. Also, since we were there for a birthday, I was hoping for at least a small acknowledgment (a song, dessert, something), but they didn't do anything for it.
