I ordered two new tyres for my VW Golf Mk1. Muna (owner) undertook the below with care and professionalism: * switched my front tyres to the rear * sandblasted the old rear rims as they had rust, to remove said rust * bead sealed them * balanced the wheels * put the new tyres on the front. All of the above was done in a genuinely friendly manner. Muna talked me through what he was doing at each stage in easy to understand terms which helped me to comprehend. He also provided advice on a number of other matters. I was talking to Muna throughout as he had lots of tips and advice. AMS Motors is a family business (three generations) that has been operating for over 40 years. Even though I got there at 9am, I witnessed a lot of repeat customers coming in which demonstrates the trust, brand loyalty and experience they have built up. I found this a refreshing experience and would highly recommend AMS Motors.

So risking blue toe syndrome, here you go. This is a tiny little tyre place that gives good quality advice and repairs appropriately. He will repair as opposed to replace and always has stock in. The place is small with barely room for him, his tyres and his equipment. You don't get a waiting room or drinks just the service you need. I've been there twice now (after recommendation by a local garage) and the last time he found two nails in one tyre charging a whole £15 to fix both holes. Fast, reliable, good quality and cheap. I can't recommend him more.

Have lived in the area for many years, just over three decades. I always try to support local…read morebusinesses when I can, but even when I've not felt the desire to return to a place, I've not felt as compelled to write a review on how they conduct themselves as I have after my last visit. I'd used their services once or twice before and remembered that they were not very welcoming but I needed some help and couldn't go further out to somewhere else at the time. I walked in there just the other day and saw the owner, I said hello and that I had a flat tyre I'd like for him to have a look at. The first thing he said was, "Goodbye". I was taken back as he went on to explain that he was supposed to be home already and that they'd run over for the day etc. Many of my friends and family who have tried there have all said how rude he can be, but as I was in a bit of a bother and could do with some quick local help I thought I would give it a try. Honestly wish I hadn't. After a pointless back and forth with him about his terrible customer service, I spoke to one of the workers and he said to come back tomorrow and one of them will have a look at it. I was very reluctant to return, but felt I had to as I couldn't locate my locking wheel nut to get the flat tyre off and needed a mechanics help that was nearby. I came back the next day and it was pretty much the same thing from the workers, unbothered and unwilling to help. I eventually found the locking wheel nut and was able to swap out tyre and took it Southall Tyres on Lady Margaret Road, who are brilliant by the way. Clearly when it comes to tyres, Norwood Road Tyres, know their craft well, as the business seems to have done okay for all these years, but I'd rather take my money to somewhere else where you aren't made to feel like a nuisance when you're paying for a service. If you're able to go somewhere else, honestly save yourself the hassle and do just that. I'm certain there are many others who have had similar experiences to mine and didn't know where they could report it. I'm hoping this helps.
