I was interested in purchasing a scarf and unfolded the display to look at it, and the shopkeeper took it from me while shaking his head and refolding it. I don't know if he was shaking his head at me for touching it or for my attempts to refold it(last time I make such an attempt in Cannes), but there was no sign that said "do not touch," (in English, Italian, Spanish or French), and the shop is on the main drag in Cannes, so I know people handle their merchandise. I chose to purchase a similar scarf in a different shop with more approachable shopkeepers. This shop is finE, as long as you don't need to touch anything.

Usually you have one person assigned to you that is actually helpful, offers a drink, pulls a bunch of bags, but nope not here!
