I recommend Knightwatch K-9 to all the animal lovers!!!…read more Every time I leave town, they take all of my pets without complaint or problem and ALWAYS keep me up to date with photos, videos, etc. Constance and Lee are always friendly, professional and caring people who my dogs always look forward to seeing! I especially love the extra care, love and attention to detail they take into consideration. They make sure to show my babies love and always play with them! When boarding you get more than just your dogs being fed or watered, they get socialized at doggie daycare as well! I couldn't be more grateful for them!

After two years they had become too strong to take on walks, unruly at the vet and a bit out of control, wanting to chase or bark at everything. We came to Knightwatch K9 for help. During the initial evaluation, the dogs pulled hard to get after cats walking around and they were hard to control. After the first full day of training, we were so surprised that our big guy shared his bed with a chicken, and both pups were ignoring the cats that walked nearby. When we got our dogs home that first day and began practicing what they and we had been taught, it was the first time ever we could walk them on a loose leash. When a quail family walked about 10 feet in front of us, a bit of focus was lost but not the jerking/chasing. On our command, Paxton sat obediently though still focused on the quail. Each training day both of our pups learned really practical and helpful lessons. Count my wife and I as completely satisfied with the training and our pups seemed to really enjoy their time. The trainers were excellent with them and gave us really helpful training suggestions. Of prime importance, follow each day of dog training at Knightwatch with diligent training at home as loving dog owners. After six weeks of training, the pups are still a work in process, but the difference from where we started is night and day and we can easily control them. The training truly exceeded our expectations. As one reviewer said, the grounds are a bit rustic, but our dogs loved their time there and we found all the trainers and training excellent. Constance is the consummate professional and our dogs were well cared for, in good hands. The mix of training our pups plus letting them have play time with other dogs gave us the results we desired/needed and now we are getting to enjoy so much more fun time with the dogs on daily walks while more easily keeping them under control. As loving dog owners, we were definitely given a solid training base on which to grow from. This training was so effective and so much easier for us than our experience prior with other trainers. Count my wife and I both pleased and impressed with Knightwatch K9 training. Highly recommended.

Where to start... I started working with Gene about a year ago and then actually listening to him…read moreand implementing his methods maybe six months ago. Gene's approach to dog training blows my mind. I couldn't fathom training a dog without using treats. I've taken my dogs to numerous classes and private lessons and always start with a huge pouch of treats and they fall all over themselves to do what I want... when I have treats. Then I have a food obsessed, overweight pooch who has bonded with the food. Gene didn't train my dog as much as he taught me how to interact with him from canine, not a human, behavioral perspective. I didn't know any of that before Gene, of course, but now it's easy to see. Basically what he did is teach me how to build a trusting relationship with my dog: just me and him. We have developed an amazing connection that I don't think I've had with any dog prior. Using nothing but affection for a reward! I learned I don't have to bribe him; he does whatever I ask (sometimes begrudgingly) and I can reward him with praise. He still gets treat time and his bully sticks and all that, but he looks me in the eye now waiting for direction. He's calm and secure because he knows what he's supposed to be doing and when. He constantly looks to me for direction and is responsive to even hand cues now. Gene will teach you to build the foundation of your relationship with your dog and methods to control negative behaviors WITHOUT the use of food or force. I know, sounds crazy, doesn't it? It's a game changer I wish I'd learned years ago.
