We stumbled onto this absolute gem right across from our hotel, and it exceeded every expectation. We were a family of six, so we waited about 20 minutes for a table, and it was completely worth it. Once seated, our server was warm, attentive, and made us feel right at home. We tried a bit of everything: hamburgers, fish tacos, carrot cake, and tiramisu, and every single dish delivered. The rustic, homey atmosphere just added to the charm. If you're ever passing through Paradise, do yourself a favor and stop in. This place is a hidden gem worth the trip!

We stopped in here today, based on a recommendation from Gemini as I told her I was looking for…read morehealthy white fish options since we were going to be this far north in the upper Peninsula. It recommended one business that looks like it has been out of business for many years and then this place. I had high hopes when we walked in as it's a very cool ambience, a really nice bar area As you can see from the pictures from the menu, the majority of the foods here are fried. I did ask if there was a way to get the white fish broiled grilled or baked and that was a hard 'no'. I also asked if I could get the hot honey sandwich grilled instead of fried, and that was a no as well. Unfortunately, I cannot eat fried foods so I decided to go with the pulled pork option since they had a really nice looking barbecue station outback. The food arrived very quickly, service is very friendly I did take one bite of my husband's white fish and it was tasty- so if you can eat fried foods, this is the way to go My pulled pork, however, tasted like a bottle of salt was dumped on it. I tried three or four bites. I could not eat it. Yes, I did let them know and she offered to bring something else, but there really wasn't anything else that I could comfortably eat. She did remove it from our bill, which I appreciated. I will say, this is a very rare occurrence for me to simply not eat something that was brought to me, but it was that bad. They do charge a 3% up charge for credit card so bring your cash Four stars is for the whitefish and the service

I love learning trivia, and now I know what a goat locker is :-) My hub got the BBQ burger, which came with crispy fries. He said it was delicious. I got the pasty with brown gravy, and it was ginormous! Eating it took me back to childhood...my mom's pasties were almost just like this (hers were a little heavier on the rutabaga, so they were always soggy). It came with a side of coleslaw, so that makes it healthy, right?! Very reasonably-priced meal, especially considering the remote location. Hope we get a chance to come back someday.
