Would absolutely recommend Tahoe North Films. Greg and his partner photographed our wedding. Me and my wife just adored all of our pictures and the style. He was also very organized and for the portraits he knew exactly the ones we wanted, where the best spots to take them were at our venue, and we were able to get back to enjoying our party quickly. I will also always remember how he helped hold the door open and helped my 90 year old grandparents get in the car and the care and sweetness he showed them. We were both apprehensive about having a photographer follow us around all day but he just totally put us at ease, was very accommodating (remembered all of our extra day of requests) and made our day just so much better. My Husband and I married in the fall of 2020. Due to COVID, and local restrictions we decided to have a family-only wedding. My husband did a ton of research on photographers, and ultimately decided to go with Greg because the photographs on his website appeared to be of high-quality, and his pricing wasn't outrageous. Greg arrived on-time, and was very friendly. I was so looking forward to receiving our photos (as any Bride would), and unfortunately we were both extremely disappointed! Our Family and Friends even commented on the poor-quality. Our Families hoped that the photos we showed them were not the final product-that's how bad they were. I'm a photogenic person and felt there were only a few photos that I liked (which is not the norm). I was so upset that I cried. My husband is a very laid-back person, and even he was not happy! I've had professional photography done in the past, and felt that Greg was not good at giving direction with poses, He also missed crucial details... An example- Not photographing the swoop and kiss! My buttons on the sleeve of my dress had come undone, were very visible as I was holding up my arms in many photos, It ruined some important poses for me. I felt that a professional should have a keen eye to details such as these. I received several photos where my Mother had her eyes closed, I don't find that acceptable at all. Our Wedding and Reception dinner took place in the late afternoon and went into the night. I'm not sure if Greg has experience photographing at night, the quality of the photos is just awful. Most of them are grainy, out of focus, and generally unpleasant to look at. We received a photo book as part of the package which was also disappointing. All of the photos came out incredibly dark in the album, a lot of the photos had printing issues-there were spots on multiple photos, which included spots on my dress, faces, etc. Six months later and I still haven't had any of the photos developed, the photo book is sitting in a box. I guess you get what you pay for. I will never recommend Tahoe North Films to any couple! read more

So disappointed with the photographer Greg. As parents of the bride, we expected to have a good amount of pictures with our daughter before and during the wedding and for those photos to be high quality. We did not take many pictures of our own because we were both sick the day of the wedding and so we put our full trust into him. When I saw the photos, I literally cried for 2 days because there were barely any pictures of us with our daughter or our family who came from overseas. The pictures we did have of us with the married couple and the few with my family were a joke. Hair flying all over, sun reflection on the hair and forehead, bad poses with my dress flying all over. He is definitely not aware of details like these that distract from the photos. He did take very good pictures with better quality of the groom and his family which is great because at least he will have nice memories to look at. We would have loved to have had the same attention with us. I am pretty sure he knew we were the bride's parents, but we felt ignored. She is our only child and one of the most important days of our lives was ruined because I don't have any good quality pictures I can print to put on my wall and to remember that day. We only have memories. Our daughter hired him because in wedding wire he had 5 stars. When my daughter tried to put a review there, they disputed the review. How convenient. Other people should have the opportunity to read all reviews so they can make a better decision so BE AWARE! read more

I am extremely upset about my experience with this company. Everything the day of seemed great. Greg arrived early and came prepared. He helped move things along and made sure we got to the beach in time for our sunset photos. I was happy with my experience until I finally saw the photos and video lite. There were barely any photos of my parents throughout the whole event! There were some photos of my mom helping me get ready but they were all taken from a weird side angle where you can't even see our faces. The photos of my dad and I waking down the aisle were also taken from a weird side angle. And these were really the only candid pictures of my parents he took the whole night. I was devastated that despite being such a big part of our night, there were hardly any photos of my parents. He did the same thing with my bridal party as well. There was only 1 photo of my maid of honor and a few more of the other bridesmaids and groomsmen. I really can't understand how the most important people in the wedding were barely photographed. Of course there were the staged photos were everyone poses, but there were barely any natural photos of the people who mattered the most. On top of it all, I invited the girlfriend of one of the groomsmen to get ready with me and my bridesmaids so that she wasn't alone while her boyfriend was doing groomsmen things. She even told Greg exactly that so there was no confusing her for a bridesmaid. I was shocked when I saw that there were barely any photos of my family or bridal party, but there were plenty of photos of her. There were more photos of her than any other guest, bridal party, or family member so it's clear where his focus was. Also the video lite is not as expected and not worth the money. It is barely 5 minutes of poorly cut together footage of the night with many key moments missing. read more

Greg and his team were phenomenal. I could not have asked for a better photographer for my wedding. Our wedding was in California and we live in texas. We had not seen our venue or met his team prior to the wedding week, but Greg ensured that everything went smoothly. Greg & his team answered every email quickly and I was able to call them as many times as I needed. They were attentive and helped me through everything!! He even drove through traffic for 2 hours the day before the wedding just to look at the venue with us and answer every question and go over our timeline. Now the wedding day, Greg & his team were the reason our wedding was perfect. Our venue was running behind and didn't even begin setting up until an hour before our wedding. Greg showed up early to set up, but once he was done, he did not hesitate to help my team set up for the wedding. Everything was also running behind (due to venue) and he stayed late because he knew I wanted a picture of us dancing. He was kind, helpful, considerate, and worked with us through every bump in the road. I didn't even know of some of the issues prior to the wedding (again bc of venue) because he ensured it got done!! I cannot recommend them enough. We felt so comfortable and he made jokes with us and made us feel so good. He even risked falling into the lake to fix my dress LOL. Greg and his team are truly THE BEST!! Every guest complimented Greg and his team to me (even 2 weeks after the wedding I get compliments) You cannot get better than them!!! read more

Greg at Tahoe North Films did a beautiful job capturing our wedding day. He took time to meet with us in advance to really understand our vision for the day. He had a second photographer with him to make sure all events of the day were captured. On the big day there were some stresses but none around photography as Greg is very easy to be around and professional in every way. He arrived promptly and even stayed beyond our scheduled time as our reception ran a bit long.The digital retouch he did of our photos was awesome. After reaching out to Greg, we scheduled an appointment to sit down and talk with him. He went out of his way to meet us in Reno. Greg seemed profession and very nice. He gave us a price that we were very excited about and we told him to send us over the proposal and we would book him for our wedding. Then when his assistant sent over the proposal it was 4 times the cost that he told us in person. We informed her that this is much more than agreed upon. She responded with "sorry for the misunderstanding, I lowered the price due to our mistake" She took off $50, that's it! I have tried calling Greg, (the number on his business card) 6 times in a few weeks. Leaving a message at least half the times, and not once did anyone pick up or even call me back. So seems like a nice guy and his photos looked great and the INITIAL price was fantastic but everything after the first meeting was worst experience ever! read more
