The White Dove Barn is a stunning venue located in Beechgrove, a little over an hour south of…read moreNashville. The venue features two distinct, yet cohesive spaces with an outdoor open-air ceremony space with rows of seating and a backdrop of a small pond and then a large classic white barn featuring a large indoor space, a covered patio and a fire pit area. The barn itself is spacious, bright and warm. The table set up and table settings are gorgeous and perfectly manicured for the event at hand. Bathrooms are easily accessible and there are multiple entry and exit points, making for a nice flow during the event. Staff was friendly and helpful, and always available. They were directing traffic, guiding folks to their seats, pointing folks to the restrooms, cleaning up or just being available when needed. Parking seems to be ample, but does fill up very quickly, so best to be early to whatever event you are attending. Entrance to the venue is easy to miss, so be careful when looking for it, especially if it is at night. The road is windy coming in, and opens up to a beautiful landscape with the outdoor venue straight ahead and the barn up on the hill. The backdrop for the venue is excellent all around. If you have never been to Beechgrove before, be prepared and make all your pitstops before getting off the exit. For a few miles, the only things are this venue and a nearby Shell station. Overall, the venue did a phenomenal job. Happy to have been part of something so special as such a special place!

I first found Letter Bright online, since before this review they didn't have a Yelp listing. I scrolled their site and requested a quote for my lighting needs. I got response within a few hours and we were off to the races. The owner, Angie, was very easy to work with was a great communicator. She showed up at my event venue right on time and had everything set up and before I even got there. Take a look at my pics, but I ordered "Yelp Elite 23" to celebrate another Yelp Elite year! Before Angie left, she pointed out that a few of the bulbs were slightly dimmer than the others, a sign that they might burn out, so she left me a few replacement lights incase that happened. She showed about 30-minutes after the party was over to breakdown the lighting setup. The entire process was so easy and the letters really made the party pop. He and his wife were beautifully professional and we truly enjoyed them both during the process. The pictures turned out beautifully and the one thing that we worried most about, Ken blended out giving us priceless family photos without a stinging memory. The only thing I'd have changed is some of the very fine details like power lines or random limbs that could be cropped out, but in the end, they're definitely authentic. Looking through his portfolio, we found his wedding photos are phenomenal, and our family photos turned out so well, we'd recommend him for almost any occasion. Thank you!

I really wanted to give them a good review because on the day if they were very easy to work…read morewith...I didn't feel awkward or rushed. So let me preface by saying that I completely understood that no shot is the same because no venue or scene is the same. But I was very disappointed in the final images with what was advertised in his portfolio. I hired Andrew not just for the pictures he took but for his editing style. It made me feel like he knew how to make things look good in this world of social media but still clear in detail for prints. Below are a few comparisons. As I said, I know the scenes are completely different but the attention to detail is still drastically different. The majority of the photos I received didn't seem to be edited to have a focal point, things like trash bags and sandals that could have been easily cropped were not and even at most the exposure, brightness and contrast from the raw images (even if that were done) were the only things that were retouched. I did add a picture that seems to have been retouched up to par with what was advertised on the portfolio but there are maybe 10/400. Now I know that there are some crazy bridezillas who leave illegitimate reviews. So before I even contacted Andrew about my concerns, I asked my day of coordinator (who is amazing by the way- if you're looking, check out Team Wedding) to review them to have get insight from a "wedding professional" as she used to be a wedding photographer. She agreed that the shooting and editing style that a majority of the pictures we received, were not reflected in what was in his public portfolio. When I contacted Andrew, I asked him if we could have access to the RAW images and a partial refund for the time to edit them myself (through photoshop and Lightroom, not just slapping an Instagram filter). He stated that he does not see how the images compared because the settings were different. I replied again stating that it was not the venue or the setting but the things left in the shot that anyone who isn't even a professional photographer could notice again referring to the photo where I am putting my shoes. We tried to even forego a refund for the raw images just to salvage something. He replied back still insisting that because the venues were different and that's why the photos were different. As I said, I wanted to leave a great review. But, unfortunately, this is a case of expectation versus reality.

I had the pleasure of staying for three days and two nights in the Georgia Room at the Grand Luxe…read more I rarely stay at a Bed and Breakfast, because the few times I have, the rooms have been too close to adjoining guests and the noise was distracting. This was never a problem here. I had an adjoining room but did not know the other guest. I never once had any issues with noise from the other rooms. In fact, I was highly impressed with how little I heard while there. It felt like home from the first moment I arrived. The room was light and airy, cozy, and with the most comfortable bed you could imagine (seriously I wish I had looked to see what it was). The adjoining bathroom was the perfect size, and had a large and comfortable tub/shower combo. The bath felt luxurious and the water temp never disappointed. The kitchen was stocked with a nice selection that fit the needs of most diets for breakfast. I was worried there might not be a selection for someone limiting carbs, but there were perfect little crustless quiches available, which made my day. I appreciated that thoughtfulness and that I had access to anything I might need there. It had a full coffee bar which included breakfast and green teas. I was traveling with my adult siblings and we loved that we could meet in the evening and play games at the large dining room table off the foyer, or sit outside on one of the porches to chat and chill. There is a lovely restaurant next door called Emil's and a really interesting and delicious Celtic coffee shop a block down (try the black eye with sugar free hazelnut syrup- you won't be disappointed). All in all, we had a lovely time and I was sad to go. I've never slept quite so well before while away from home and that luxury was much appreciated. If you're coming to the area or nearby, I highly recommend making reservations here.
