We would NOT recommend: "East Coast Catering and Events" (previously "Nashville Events & Catering") We were so excited to find a local caterer who had reasonable costs with positive reviews, attractive photos, and was then a nice person at our meeting. We created our menu top-to-bottom and the caterer even copy & pasted the text right onto the contract so we had no concerns and thought we'd be free of worry (what an amazing feeling) ... BUT THEN ... when they didn't follow half of our menu (even with specific recipes provided), ran out of multiple dishes, didn't bring all accurate glassware, let alone all the glassware ordered ... it was VERY DISAPPOINTING ... and even worse, they've AVOIDED ALL COMMUNICATION attempts for almost 3 months now!! In a more detailed description, 1. We ordered 3 specific glasses - 1 was missing (champagne flutes for our signature drink of all things), 1 was a different style (a funky chalice instead of a rocks glass), and 1 was properly provided (wine glasses) 2. Main Dish: "Creamy Tuscan Chicken" - was served dry with NO sauce ... and the chicken ran out 3. Side Dish: Purple Smashed Sweet Potato with Butter and (provided) Salt Flakes" - was served unseasoned, steamed, in thick slices 4. Side Dish: Sautéed Broccolini w/ butter & s&p - was served unseasoned and steamed 5. No signage on any dishes to communicate any allergies (as requested and agreed to) 6. The BRIDE and a few guests had gluten and dairy issues. They agreed to provide a separate gluten free option for the pasta and dessert specifically. These guests didn't get to enjoy either dish because it never got communicated it was safe for them to eat. 7. No table displays of any kind and foods was served in standard boring silver chaffing dishes (we shared our vision and specifically that we didn't want a basic buffet with silver chaffing dishes, and how much we liked what they did with other events through their shared photos, understanding they understood the feeling we wanted with the display) 8. Too many guests commented how quickly the serves snatched up unfinished plates and beverages (frustrating!) We only wanted to discuss a fair partial refund for the lack of delivering on menu they word-for-word copy & pasted into the contract. They never questioned the menu but then never delivered on full menu. It's a sad day when you feel like the only validation to address a caterer is to share an honest review.

I found them on Instagram and we were so impressed with their menu and had to reach out. I couldn't have been more happy with my decision to hire them, they arrived on time, blew my expectations and the food was absolutely delicious and everyone was raving about it. I would 10/10 recommend using them for any type of event. I can't wait until I have an excuse to use them again!

When I entered my room, I was greeted by the smell, the pleasant smell of old wood. The location was very convenient, being close both MTSU and downtown. The snacks were convenient when my son got hungry. One night, I ordered delivery to avoid going out in a threatened thunderstorm. The kitchen and dining room were very useful. Overall, there was lots of character. I suppose you could consider the broken, very out of tune piano to be a part. (The middle F key is impeded from striking strings. When you and your son are big music fans, you notice such things.)

Also had a beautiful carriage in the front that we were able to use to take pictures in!! The decor/day of coordinator: Molly (the day of coordinator) made our wedding reception seamless. She was communicative at all the right times to smooth out the details ahead of time to make sure our wedding was perfect and everything we wanted was taken care of. She did a great job on the decor and at a great price! The food was amazing! Afterwards, the guests kept talking about the food not being "gross wedding food" it was amazing food! I couldn't recommend them more for a wedding or reception venue!

THE ABBEY IS A HIDDEN GEM INSIDE THE TASTY TABLE! I am so…read moreexcited that Murfreesboro finally has a place where food and overall experience is the core of the restaurant. And when we arrived to the tasty table we discovered that it was closed but the Abbey Pub & Coffee House was still serving food. Let me begin by saying Austin is by far one of the nicest human beings I've ever met and was a staunch champion of the Chef and her expertly curated menu. The Monkey Bread is a the best I've tasted & adds a unique touch by having four sections with different flavors. Herbs & cheese adorn the top of this appetizer & with the garlic & marinara dipping sauces this makes for a starter that the entire table will fight over. So much so we bought an extra batch to go. I ordered the Beer Battered Mahi Mahi with beer battered asparagus & I can honestly say this is the most delectable fish I'd ever tasted. The batter is fried to perfection until it's flaky, golden/brown. The Mahi Mahi is so juicy, which is a hard task because often times restaurants overcook the fish. Not The Abbey...you can tell the chef(s) take pride in each dish. And I've never had fried asparagus & I can honestly say this will be my new go to over fried green beans. The batter gives the asparagus just the right amount of sweetness they need to take a relatively boring veggie to the next level. My mother ordered the Pasta. I'm not a pasta eater but I surprisingly look over my mothers plate. The sauce was so flavorful...savory with a hint of sweet that makes for a boatload of fireworks on your tastebuds. It's quite delicious. My only request would be to the option add a protein like chicken or salmon BUT honestly it doesn't need a thing. Here's a secret...Order the Flybird...it's an amazing take on a margarita...it uses wine instead of tequila. Thank me later. Overall my Abbey experience is easily my new favorite restaurant in Murfreesboro and when I come home to visit my parents this will be my go to spot. I cannot wait to see this gem of a food experience to expand!

Pasta was overcooked and mushy. Not much in between the layers of pasta and too salty. It tasted like a bad version of Chef Boyardee canned pasta. Cookies for dessert looked store bought. The salad and bread were good. Not my favorite and I don't understand all the five star reviews. They don't rate in my book.
