We supply and install swimming pool surrounds, balcony flooring, garage flooring, play area surfaces, tennis court surface, sports flooring and event flooring. Our flooring is modular, easy to install, UV stable and very durable. Maintenance is minimal and the tiles can be installed on a DIY basis or we can contract to do the work for you. The tiles are demountable and can be used time and time again for events. History
Established in 1999.
A family business established by John and Pippa Highnam in 1999 and based in Langport on the Somerset Levels. Tact's main product, TactTiles, is Swedish made and Tact Enviro Ltd exclusively supply to the UK and Ireland. Tact Enviro supplies flooring to schools, local authorities, leisure centres and hotels as well as domestic customers. TactTiles are innovative interlocking tiles which allow water to drain through and act like a sprung floor. Ideal for wet areas like pool surrounds. Tact both supplies TactTiles for DIY applications and also carries out installation projects. Tact can even lay and mark up sports floors and pack them up again for onward shipment, including to the Army in Afghanistan.
Meet the Business Owner: Pippa H.
Pippa has had a varied career working in local radio and then in commercial property for Wincanton Logistics. She left to start Tact Enviro Ltd with her husband, John in 1999. In the early days, Tact supplied coatings and repair materials but developed into antislip flooring when they discovered a Swedish interlocking flooring system that was not represented in the UK. Since then Pippa and John have developed the business into a specialist flooring supplier for the sport and leisure industry, including an e-commerce shop for domestic customers.
