Food was perfectly Mexican no US or Canada watered down. I went beyond the basic taco and burrito for my first try and it was spot on. Being from suburbs of Chicago which has a huge Mexican population and thud tons of truly Mexican joints, this is a worthy and spot on. The place looks so fun inside. They out did themselves. Last Thursday evening May 22nd I took my family out for a birthday celebration. I had never been to this restaurant before but chose it because of the good online reviews I had read. I had made a reservation for 5:45PM although this was not necessary since when we arrived there was only one other table occupied. Our server was very , very slow which began to become very frustrating since she only had one other table. I ended up having to wave her over to get her attention and this was after sitting for at least 10 minutes. We ordered drinks, White wine, margarita and an appetizer of Tortilla chips. When the server returned she brought a glass of red wine not white, when I stated I had ordered white wine she rudely said "no you didn't" and refused to take it back at which time I asked for a glass of white. In my opinion, even if I had accidentally ordered the red, it is really surprising that she would not switch them out. When the tortilla chips came it was SHOCKING!! the cheese was dry and looked like it had been sitting on the chips for hours obviously it was not freshly prepared. The guacamole did not look like any guacamole I have ever had or seen, it was close to a mint green color and when I asked the server about this she stated "it is Mexican guacamole", I have been to Mexico many times and NEVER saw this color or the syrup like consistency it had. Because of her rude behaviour and poor quality food we paid the bill, including the glass of unwanted red wine and left, we did not order entree's. This is the first review i have ever written but the experience was so awful that I wanted to share this with the public and hopefully the owners of this establishment will use this review to make some much needed changes. read more

I had the Sopa Azteca and the El Pastor tacos. The soup was yummy - lots of avocado and tortilla strips, and I added chicken, which made it that much better. The tacos were good - lots of meat, cilantro, onion, and a nice guacamole salsa. I don't think the meat was cooked on the shawarma-type skewer like they do it in Mexico, but it was still nice. I topped it all off with a bottle of mango Jarritos. Not quite the same as being in my favourite taco joint in Puerto Vallarta, but still pretty darned good. The servers were very pleasant as well. A very disappointing end to a nice day. Called and made a reservation. They took my name, but when we arrived they didn't care. We were just told to sit wherever. About 10 minutes later we got menus. Then, another 10 minutes they came to take our order. Then, another 10 minutes went by and we finally got our drinks. It is now 45 minutes since we entered the premises and nothing. Seriously!!!??? The table next to us have people of the Mexican nationality. They arrived after us, yet they got their food 15 minutes ago. Unless you have 2 hours to blow, pass it by. Also, $9 for chips & salsa. EVERY Mexican restaurant in the USA gives you complimentary chips & salsa on arrival. Guess what, the food finally came!!! The food wasn't bad, but not much to eat. You don't get rice & beans with unless it states - and as a side it was a bit pricey. I won't be back. The bad service outweighs good food! read more

Lethbridge has REAL Mexican food. Growing up in California I used to have a rule, no Spanish in the kitchen, no thanks. I love the smaller family-run places. This is the real deal. I like the vegetarian tacos. They have churros too. And they have Mexican drinks. Lucky this place has moved to a larger location so there is lots of room inside. Definitely worth a visit. read more

Food is amazing! It's very authentic Mexican food, but the service is terrible!! I think my 2 year old could do a better job. We have been here 3 times and service is a joke every time. I found this colorfully decorated restaurant to be better than other local Mexican spots. Judging by the busy flow of customers they've built quite a following. The staff were friendly in a personal way and inquired often on the quality of the food and if we were happy with everything. Everyone at my table was pleased with their food, commenting on the generous portions. My pineapple salad was a great accompaniment to the spicy, crispy tostadas tingla. A lime Mexican soda went well with both. Next time I hope to splurge on nopales and tres leches cake. read more

People calling this authentic Mexican need to truly experience Mexican. We have visited many Mexican restaurants across N. America. This is probably my favorite restaurant in Lethbridge. Every time I eat here I am amazed at how good the food is.

Ok while driving by I was excited to try this place. The atmosphere and staff, truly authentic feel. It was clean and everyone super friendly. 2 stars....the price. We ordered takeout and when we got home and realized how little food there was for 60 bucks, super disappointing. The tortilla soup with chicken literally had 2 little tiny pieces of chicken in it. Flavour great, value for dollar not so much. I wanna give a 2* for food value, 4* for taste and 5* for staff and atmosphere. read more
