Got the carne asada burrito, added rice and lettuce to it.. it was okay, was a bit salty but okay flavour, good if nothing else is open.

Went in there this morning for breakfast, we got greeted upon arrival. As my husband and I were standing, looking over the menu.. the man behind the counter kept looking below my waist instead of making eye contact with us as he takes our order.. really creepy.. I will not return and the mood was mid! read more

Breakfast burritos are delicious Customer service was also great! I will be returning!

The WORST Mexican food in Wichita. The worst "service". Watered down runny guacamole for which they charge $2.50 for about 2 tablespoons worth and NO chips.. they charge extra for chips. Avoid this place. Not even worth one star. read more

As a native west coast girl... damn! 100% nailed it! Highly recommend!!!! Fresh tortillas and stuffed!! Verde sauce 100! The drive thru is super convenient! .. yep.. love it! read more

Great food. Tacos were excellent also hot sauce was good. Only complaint was sauce not hot enough for me

Colorado burrito was fantastic! Food was fresh and want a warm at 1 AM. Highly recommend

Yum, yum yum yum yum. First visit. Drive through line moved nicely. Very nice woman at the window. Love ALL the sauces. Got home tacos were great. Of carnitas and carne asada I preferred the carne asada, but both were very good. Will have to come back and try more! read more

Love them! Beat place around!!! Make sure this is your go to place. Take my family there every time they come to town.

Cheap and pretty decent Mexican food. Exactly what you expect so don't complain. It's not 10/10 but you're not paying $15 for a meal so get over it. Way better than going to McDonald's. This is what you need when nowhere else in Wichita is open. read more

Carne asada tacos are amazing!!!!!! This place has yet to fail me!!!! I will always come here when I am in the mood for Mexican!!! Delicious! I am now back for the 4th time and as u can see I love this place!!!! Everything I eat is amazing read more

Tacos Lopez - Carne Asasa Burrito - Mexican Near Me - Wichita, Kansas

The food here is terrible. Not enough seasoning and the hot Cheetos stuffed in my burrito was stale. The beef was tough and rubbery. The service was ok-- lady seems bothered when I asked for extra sauce (she only gave me 2 sauces and I bought food to feed 5 ppl). I love Mexican food and it's not IT here. Definitely not coming back. read more

More and more nowadays I've taken to just driving around, looking for someplace new to eat. And if there's something you can say about Tacos Lopez, it's definitely a place at which I hadn't eaten. But then I did! Much like Abelardo's, Tacos Lopez deals in the good kind of fourthmeal: cheap and real Mexican eats, complete with a 24-hour drive-thru. You're not missing much by choosing to grab and go - not much work has been put into the interior, giving it that run-down charm you look for in a good Mexican restaurant. There's a salsa bar, too, though napkins are kept behind the counter, so I'd like to apologize to the lady working the register as she undoubtedly had to wipe up my sloppy dishing of salsa into those little cups. At $2 a pop, I thought the tacos were a little expensive, until I saw the six-inch tortillas used to contain the large quantity of each of my preferred meats. Four tacos was definitely a bit too much, but as I plowed through the adovada, barbacoa, asada, and carnitas, I didn't mind. No real standouts, though the carnitas had been sitting around for a while, as it was quite dry. One of the hazards of a 24-hour operation, I guess. With La Peyna 2 right across the street, it's hard to justify Tacos Lopez during normal operating hours, but if you need 3 AM Mexican they more than fit the bill. read more

Best fast food in town!!! They have breakfast all day and those carne asada fries are the best specially with hot Cheetos!!!

Been coming here since 2008 and got a chance to get back again after years .... It's changed a little bit but the food is still the same ..Good hearty food that fills the stomach and melts your heart .It may look like any other place but the food still has a lot to offer ....It still hasn't lost it flavors...The burrito just has picco chicken cheese and potatoes ..And it's called Colorado burrito .It soo good I wonder why it's popularity hasn't reached the peak . ..And they come with either grilled chicken or shredded (spicy) .The saucesthey gave are on the fire sides so be careful to try a little bit first . I would say if u are ever in whichta it a must visit after u visit the keeper of plains ...Some places can never disappoint you and for me it's one of them .For the six days u was in Wichita I had Colorado burrito for 3 daysn I still loove it .. read more

Tacos Lopez - Bacon egg cheese and potatoe burrito - Mexican Near Me - Wichita, Kansas

I ordered the fish taco, adobada taco, and Colorado burrito. Everything was great! The tacos are bigger than most local Mexican restaurants in Wichita, so I felt that I got a good amount of taco for $2.50 each. The flavors of the meat in the Colorado burrito and adobada taco were very flavorful, and meats were tender and moist! The fish taco was ok. The reason why I'm not giving 5 stars is because I felt the salsa could be better. The salsa could defiantly complete the taste of my tacos. I plan to be coming back. read more

Tacos Lopez is the bomb. I'm from California. Mexican food has been a staple in my diet since I was eating solid food. When I went to college in San Diego, the burrito became a whole separate block in my food pyramid. Outside of California it's always a struggle to find really good mexican food, and even more so to find a really good burrito place. I first tried it with a friend of mine from San Diego who was visiting and she, too, concurred -- the burritos at Tacos Lopez are as good as many San Diego joints (where they freakin invented the "california burrito"). I haven't tried any of the other dishes there, only the burritos because why deviate from excellence. They're fast, cheap, and delicious. Only two things to suggest/critique: I wish they had free chips and salsa inside. And I wish they would call their "Colorado Burrito" a "California Burrito" because that is what it is known as everywhere else. read more

This is my favorite place to get tacos de pollo. I'm not a huge fan of any of their beef, but I think that's more of a personal preference - my friends all love the beef. Good portion sizes, good prices, great hours, and friendly staff. I should add that this place used to be 24 hours (I think) but now they close at 2 on the weekends. read more

Opted for here -- instead of Lina's or Rene's -- because it's closer to my house. Figured I'd give it a try. The Colorado burrito was mushy and flavorless. The cheese hadn't melted in the time it took me to drive home. The carne asada was fatty, tough and really greasy. The tortilla was rubbery and bland. The fish taco was 86% lettuce --picked most of it off -- and mushy tomatoes. The fish was soggy. The saving grace was the cajeta churro. It was crispy, good amount of cinnamon and sugar, and good ratio of dough to caramel. Next time, I'll drive the extra distance to Lina's or Rene's though. read more

A co -worker brought me a breakfast burrito eggs chorizo ,Potatoes!!! Burrito it was yummy !!!! Best breakfast burrito in Wichita hands down !!! And it's huge I ate half for breakfast and the other half for lunch . Update 5-16-16 this place went Down hill the old man is gone and now there burritos suck and they cannot get the order right I ordered chorizo egg potatoes cheese burrito , it only had chorizo and a lot of grease . read more

Ordered: Adobada plate Price: ~$6 Ambiance: This place won't be winning awards for appearance with its scratched white walls and dented tables. The red benches lining the walls are slashed with the fiber insulation coming out but despite this, the place doesn't look terribly run down or dirty. The walls are decorated with colorful blankets and sombreros which are fun. Service: We were the only people in the restaurant but even still it took the girl over 8 minutes to give us our drink cups. I have no idea why she didn't just give us our cups when we ordered but the food was prepared in 15 mins which was good. Food: Ultimately, the food was not bad but uninspiring. The adobada (seasoned pork) was pretty flavorless, lacking both spiciness and savoriness although I'll admit the texture and moistness were fine. The guacamole was pretty good and didn't seem to be fake, a common place Mexican joints cut costs. The beans were actually flavorful with good consistency but the rice was absolutely tasteless, lacking any tomato flavor whatsoever. The horchata could have used a little more cinnamon and lacked the rice grains that tell you it is homemade. The two things Tacos Lopez have going for it is portion size and its salsa bar. I can here with my family and none of us were able to clean our plates. Their salsa bar also has a selection of 5 salsas of which i recommend the 'hot', the 'extra hot' certainly had spice but lacked body and flavor. The pickled carrots could use a little more brine to make them tangy-er but they had a decent burn to them. Overall Tacos Lopez is a pretty mediocre place that serves relatively bland food but will probably draw you in with its cheap prices, large portions, and diverse salsas. read more

I ordered the carne asana tacos meal through the drive through. The food was still hot the meat was seasoned just right, and it was stil moist and not dry like a lot of 24 hour joints. For a first visit i was impressed ill be back for more ! read more

Tacos Lopez - Carne Assad Alvacado and salsa burrito 7$ - Mexican Near Me - Wichita, Kansas

I eat here 3 times a week. Once you discover what you enjoy on the menu you will love it like I do. The Colorado burrito is my favorite. It's all fresh and cooked to order. The portions are huge and priced right. $6.25 gets you a humongous burrito that's difficult to finish the whole thing. Service is very helpful and friendly. Love it. read more

The food isn't as good as I expected it to be. I mean after all it was fast Mexican food. However, I was expecting the menu to be a little bit more updated! My food was too greasy and too hard to actually chew. The meat was too rubbery and honestly I rather eat at Taco Bell. read more

Came in here to try out the Colorado burrito everyone was talking about and I was impressed. Burrito was huge, tasty and priced very reasonably. The young girl at the counter that took my order was very charming and accommodating. I tried all their sauces on my burrito and my favorite was called "wacamole". It's a good balance of heat yet has lots of flavor. I'll be back again to try other items on their menu. read more

I have come many many times with my family or just by myself on my lunch break. I can't say much about their menu as we only order the carne asada tacos but they are AMAZING. For 3 tacos and a drink with tax was $9. Some people may be full after two tacos as I can barely eat 3. It's a very small place but cozy. The staff has always been friendly in all the years I've come here. read more

Very excellent dining experience. I've been spending a lot of time in Wichita and working some super late nights, so I was looking for dinner around 10 PM and I found it here. After chatting with the woman at the counter it was very friendly, I ordered the taco salad and a Modelo. The salad came out in a to go container because - as she pointed out - it is a sizable meal and I might want to take it with me. They have a nice little bar where you can help yourself to salsa and pickled goodies like carrots, radishes, onions and jalapeños. My salad and beer came up just shy of $10 before tip. The restaurant was clean and a little bit a divey, which was perfect. Surprisingly there were two other tables of people there eating late dinners with kids - yes, they have a kids menu, but please just feed your kids the good stuff. ;-) They have street tacos and other excellent foods and I know this will become a favorite for me when visiting this part of Wichita. read more

A late night Mexican restaurant with great prices great customer service and great food! What more could you ask for??

Best Mexican Burritos in the World!! Big Size for a cheap price and filled completely!! YUMMY

I planned to eat in, but when I stepped inside it was like there was no air conditioning, so I ordered a soft taco to go. A bit pricey at $2.50. I can get one down the street at Taco Shop for a dollar less...and it has sour cream. Food was OK, but this isn't Mexico. When it's 94 outside, turn on the a/c. read more

Beware! Tacos costs $2.50 EACH. Two dinners and four tacos = $26.00! Drive-in window employee agreed they were too expensive, but oh well. Got home and one of my dinner orders was incorrect. Dinners do not include drinks. read more

I came to this place wanting some Mexican style breakfast tacos. The kind of tacos that remind me of south Texas that I used to have for breakfast years ago. With the name Tacos Lopez, I was sure I came to the right place. Unfortunately, they only had breakfast burritos or breakfast plates available. I tried the chorizo and egg burrito, and it satisfied my craving and my nostalgic desire. You have to smile at a place like this because it is a little run down. The soda machine shook like crazy when it was dispensing my drink. The tables and seats looked about 30 years old. A few flies flying around. The drive thru window is part of the dining area at one end. They don't pretend to be a high end place, and this is not exactly a date night restaurant. But for an authentic "fast food" Mexican restaurant, this is probably one of the best ones you will find in town. I look forward to returning and trying something different. read more

Finally tried this place after a friend told me about it. Tried the beef enchiladas, and they were delicious! I was truly surprised by the amount of meat!! I give 4 stars because I wasn't offered any salsa/sauce, nor did I receive any in my bag when I went through the drive thru. I will definitely be back, can't wait to try more! read more
