Terrific experience and wonderful service by this "do everything" server. She was the hostess, the bus person, the waitress and the cashier today. And she did it all with a smile and the Grace one would expect from someone very experienced. Food was good, and it was enhanced by a spotlessly clean environment. I enjoyed my brief dinner and hopped back on the road headed for home. read more

Tacos El Pastorcito - Spotless and wide open! - Mexican Near Me - Liberal, Kansas

Stopped in here on my road trip from New Mexico to Kansas and it was delicious. Mexican places are known for large portions and Tacos El Pastorcito was no exception. Although after 7 hours in the car I devoured the whole thing. The salsa that comes with the chili rellenos was SO good. The heat was just right and the flavor took the meal to the next level. Should have ordered one of their margaritas but the modelo draft was icing on top of the cake. They also have a taco truck affiliated with the restaurant in the parking lot if you are in a bind for time. I probably won't ever be back in Liberal but if I am, you will find me at that taco truck. read more

Has very nice interior. Good and affordable pricing. The wait was extremely long and there was a weird smell inside. I got the hawaiian burger... it was disgusting and the patty was burnt and hard. My sister had the chicken alfredo it was very oily and it smelt like literal vomit. read more

Best taco stand I've been to, atleast 25 cars in the parking lot waiting on food was a good sign, did not disappoint, . A hair high on price but when receiving and trying food a great price for that level of quality read more

Ate there once on a trip through town. All the food we had was good, but the bar was closed, so no margaritas.

On our way to Santa Fe, and we stopped here for lunch. Is there a six-star rating (?)...because this place was FANTASTIC! Enchiladas (3 of them...cheese, chicken, shredded beef) were hot, fresh, had a great red sauce over it and they did not skimp on the meat! YUM! Rice was the best Mexican rice I've ever had...moist and good flavor...beans had great consistency, were flavorful and hot. A side of avocado (slices, I chose) was plentiful, and the salsa and chips to start had great flavor and just the right amount of salt on the chips. Hubby got the flautas...shredded beef was nicely flavored and shredded well. Even the bathrooms....spotless! Unfortunately, we don't get to Liberal often at all (was actually my first time), but if we ever drive back through, we are stopping here again! Very, very highly recommended! read more

There seems to be some confusion about this place. It is a food truck (trailer) behind a parking lot. They don't serve beer. The food was pretty good. I got two different kind of tacos. There were lime wedges provided with the tacos , but they were dried out and provided no juice. I got some chips and salsa. The tortilla chips were fresh and crisp. The salsa was pretty hot and seemed salty. read more

We had beef Tacos, chicken burrito, and chips with guacamole. Very good food. The place was busy with locals coming to get carry-out dinner - a good sign. It's a food truck next to a market. I wish the preparers had worn masks, that would have made us more comfortable, but the folks taking orders and delivering were masked up. read more

It was delicious I recommend it to everyone the food the service and ambiance was Awesome

Real deal street tacos. All meats are good... go with your jam. Line is beef so barbacoa and lengue are favorites.

Absolutely delicious tacos! The meat was tender and flavorful, the prices low, and quality high. The order came out quickly and was delivered to the car. We also enjoyed their guacamole and horchata. If you find yourself in Liberal, Kansas, with a craving for Mexican, drop by! read more

We happened to stop for lunch during our 10 hour road trip and did NOT expect to find this hidden gem. By far the best authentic Mexican food I have ever had. Fantastic flavor for a very cheap price. If I'm ever back in Kansas, this will be my first stop. read more

Tacos El Pastorcito - a man standing in front of a taco truck - Mexican Near Me - Liberal, Kansas

I asked for 2 tacos and I thought she asked me about chips and I asked her what kind she had and she said in a rude voice in the store if you wanna go get them and I said, my bad? I thought you said chips, but that doesn't beat when I got my tacos! I didn't get ANY meat in my tacos! I don't know what I did to make them be rude or not give me any meat in my tacos, not even a Lime, but dang!! read more

This is definitely an experience. You pull your car up and they come to your car and take your order, put the order in, take your money, then bring out the food. I had 5 tacos, they came with red sauce and chips and salsa. A great cost and the beef tacos tasted great! Will return again. read more

Can't go wrong with anything. Their barbacoa is my favorite but everything (beef, chicken, lengua which is tongue) is good. Cheap yummy food. $1 tacos. Get their pineapple horchata too! read more

HOLY S***. No lie, the tacos are amazing. I've had the chicken and steak tacos (I haven't gotten to anything else because the tacos are so damn good.) and they are just SO GOOD. I've only been here a month or so and I've been here half a dozen times. Already craving this place. I should cave and try something new, but then I'd miss out on the tacos! Both the beef and chicken are perfectly seasoned. The first time I got these I only got 2 and couldn't eat them fast enough they were that good. The slice of lime really makes them pop. I am in love with this place. read more

I have had almost everything on the menu here and never been disappointed! This is authentic. Don't expect any TexMex here. This place is easy to miss if you are not a local. It may be a taco truck, but it's better than the sit down places. We call this place our Mexican Sonic. It's good. It's quick. They come to your car. read more

Read about this place in Yelp. We had chicken and steak tacos. Both were great. Cool place for a quick stop for real deal tacos

A perfect stop, if you can't leave your car. Tacos are sized and priced right. Mini pollo burrito was great.

I'm from Arizona just passing through but I'm glad I stopped here!! The super burrito with carne asada was amazing. Beef tender & seasoned well. The tortilla was perfect! What more can I say, if I lived here I'd be a regular! read more

We got a bunch of $1 barbacoa street tacos. The barbacoa was seasoned so perfectly. I get similar delicious tacos in KC for $2 a piece. This is such good deal! We also got a torta which was the best torta I've ever had. Crispy bread, perfect barbacoa and all the fixins. The super nachos with pork were also good, but I will stick with the tacos and torta. This is a very popular food truck/sonic type place. Be prepared for a crowd if you go during lunch or dinner hour. read more

Great tortas! Mexican coke. Best food truck in Liberal. Known locally as Mexican Sonic. Limited parking. Best when you go post lunchtime to pre dinner time. Can be on the expensive side. Don't let the appearance fool you, this is the best place in town. read more

Loved the carne asada flavoring! A super burrito with carne asada - so delicious! Super price!

I LOVE THIS TACO TRUCK. I get the barbacoa tacos every single time, they're great, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I don't live in Liberal or in Kansas at that but every time I come here, they are my first stop and last stop. LITERALLY. But although they are great, I have some complains. I've always received fast and great customer service, till I came recently. 11/16/18 - They took 10 mins to come and ask for my order. Took them about 20 mins to bring me my order. 4 tacos usually take like 10 mins to make. She also tried to charge me for a sauce I always get for free. I also asked the lady who was taking my order if she can open a bottle of soda for me, she said "okay be right back" & ended up not coming back until my order was done. Now honestly I was extremely thirsty so that was annoying. I also went the following day, 11/17/18 (i told you i love their tacos) & I was waiting in the lot for about 10 mins until I decided to go up to the truck myself, I mean about 5 cars that came after me got their orders taken, people even going up to her cutting me so that got me upset. I love this taco truck but they need to get their ordering situation more settled. The parking lot is EXTREMELY TIGHT AND ITS IMPOSSIBLE TO GET OUT YOUR SPOT. Maybe fix the lot, & get a little bit better customer service. The lady that always helps us wasn't there or we know she would've taken care of us instantly. Other than that, check out their barbacoa tacos next time you're around. read more
