It's hard to find good Mayan food as you move further away from Yucatan. I was recommended by a…read morefriend to check out this place while visiting Mexico City and it was definitely worth the trip. The place is near other trendy restaurants and easy to find. There's parking in the front so if you are driving there are no worries. There's a takeout stand on the left and restaurant to the right. Everything is grilled right there so it is definitely fresh. I ordered 2 cochinita pibil, 1 relleno negro, 1 pavo a bil and 1 manitas puerco and of course Corona. Make sure to put some red onions and salsa then squeeze some lemon on top. It's not very spicy but it has enough heat for sure. I have to say this is probably the best "taco" that I've had in years. I have not tried Mayan style food before and was so used to just normal tacos but PANUCHOS style is so much better. This refried tortilla's crunchy bite with soft pork mixed with crisp onions cannot be described unless you have tasted it. I am a newbie to Mayan food and so glad that this restaurant has the authentic flavors and taste as described by my buddy. His wife makes them better apparently. Next time my friend.
