Holy. Smokes. THESE TACOS ARE THE REAL DEAL. It's a little out of the way, took me a few u-turns to get to them, but I am so glad I did! They are currently right between Riverbend and Chancellor at the back of the gravel lot on the right going West. . I had a not-so-great experience at another place last night that I needed to redeem. A craving I couldn't shake. Let me tell you, these fine women did not disappoint!I can't or won't complain about the price at all. I've noticed others have. For how good it is, and how hot it is outside, they deserve more! The tacos are small street style tacos, but are packed full with delicious flavorful meat. So glad I did the rt3 500 for this food. I took a trip down to Nats ballpark on a Friday around lunchtime to find this truck. After trying to decide what I wanted, I opted for the burrito. I chose carnitas as my protein but you have other options (chicken, steak, etc.). All the ingredients tasted fresh. The burrito was perfectly wrapped and not falling apart because it was overstuffed. The best of it all. Authentic food with great prices! This is food you can't beat. We tried lots of different items including the shrimp tacos, a tostada, a papusa, Mexican corn, and the rice and beans. Everything was amazing. The food was fresh and tasted great. It transported us back to our time in Mexico. I would recommend this place hands down. Be careful if using your GPS to get there. Ours took us to the wrong place. It's located in a small parking lot behind JT'a bourbon grill and the NuWave expressions place. I tried this place a couple of days ago with my partner for the first time. We got one steak and one carnitas taco each, and also a side of "Mexican street corn" in a cup. The street corn was gross, served off of the cob and was mostly just warm sour cream and cheese sprinkled with corn...needless to say most of that went uneaten. The fillings in the tacos were good, but would be better if they cooked their tortillas. I'm not a fan of raw, cold corn tortillas. read more

It included in it what looked like homemade refried beans (so good), guacamole (could taste the freshness of it with the lime), and the tortilla was even slightly crispy from the heating element. This taco truck is really good. Only complaint i have is the prices are too high. The pupusas are the best around. The tacos are good. We really like the carne asada fries. The birria tacos are realy good but $15 for 3 small tacos with no sides is way to much. Would definitely come to pick up more often if the prices weren't so high. Hidden along side the parking lot of where The Chancellor Outpost used to be is this little Mexican food gem. The Chicken Burrito was fresh and delicious, as were the Pupusas, that comes with cabbage and dipping sauce. The girl cooking it up was very friendly. This is the best if not only place to get traditional Mexican tacos in Fredericksburg. I admit that I am a bit of a "snob" so I know that people see me as very picky when it come to traditional Mexican tacos. But if you know what's traditional Mexican taco should taste like you will know that these tacos are the real deal. I have been to this truck many times and have never been disappointed. Today I had a pupusa here for the first time. It was perfect. From the flavor to the texture and the juicy and flavorful meat inside. I have to have a shrimp burrito and a couple of steak tacos every couple of weeks or I go into withdrawal. I have honestly driven 60 miles round trip just to find their current location and get my fix. After 4 or 5 years of chasing them around I can say without question I have never had a bad meal. NEVER. The meat is always awesome, never any gristle. My biggest regret is that this is my first review of them. I console myself knowing that their first Yelp review was actually my wife on our first visit. To date that is the only time my wife has ever done a review.
