My wife and I ate here twice on our recent visit to the east-side of Glacier National Park -- once for dinner and another time for breakfast. This place is a step up from Taco Bell, and we were pleasantly surprised at the quality and quantity of the food. I love Taco John's from when I went to college. We don't live near one but if I see one on vacation, I go. We ordered through the drive thru and the order was 100% correct. It was Taco Tuesday so tacos were 2 for $1.19. We also ordered a quesadilla and a super burrito. Family of four was under $14 (No drinks). read more

Great Stop between GNP & Yellowstone Stopped on way from Glacier National Park to Yellowstone. It might be "fast food" but it was made right and tasted great. I have eaten Taco John's since 1978 and been to numerous Colorado, Nevada, Wyoming and Montana. Usually a good experience with the exception of the one in Sherdan Wyoming that is terrible with cold food on several occasions. That is only relevant since today at the Browning MT Taco John's I was reminded how good it can be. Wait! Did I say reminded? Okay truth of the matter is this crew paid attention and delivered an exceptional product! Ambiance of good ole fast food restaurant in a small town that it can offer is amazing

The staff was okay. Store is clean. The taco's are okay The tostatas had mostly lettuce on them very little beans and a pinch of cheese. Won't eat here again. I'll go to Taco Bell. We were the only customers in the place. read more

This spot slaps harder than when my momma saw me being in that houngey ole Rez Dog. Whenever I need some good food i go here. but on the real. Their hot sauce tastes like pasta sauce. Oh my. I love Taco John's so much. It's probably my favorite fast food joint. Another Yelper described their Potato Ole's as "crack." And they are just that! Unfortunately, the closest Taco John's to the Flathead Valley is in Browning, almost 2 hours away. There is one in Missoula but that IS 2 hours away. So Browning is the closest. The two in the Flathead Valley changed to "El Sombrero" and they are terrible. And despite the fact that Browning is impoverished and really a praire ghetto (see my soapbox reviews).... This is fast food at its worst. Even for the remoteness of this town, the food is just horrible. We had the tacos, a burrito, and the refried beans. The steak on the taco had an odd flavor of some kind of flavor enhancer that made it just disgusting. The burrito was drenched in cheese and just tasted like that. Ewww. The refried beans would have been okay if hadn't been drenched in cheese either. Please save yourself and your stomach from this place and drive an hour more to a proper place. read more

I know, I know! It's weird giving a Taco John's a five star review but there's a good reason for it, I swear! First of all, context matters and it especially matters on Yelp because let's face it - I don't care how good a five star restaurant is if it's not close enough for me to eat at it. In the case of this Taco John's, it was (aside for the Subway outpost) the only other place available to me and that alone matters. And while this place is something akin to a watering hole in the Sahara, it could actually get by on the merit of the fare because I gotta be honest - those tater tots are like deep fried meth - I wanted a second helping as soon as I was done with the first. read more

We were heading to the east side of Glacier and knew the food choices were shut down in the park. So we drove into this town to find lunch. The kids wanted this place. However, walking in, the guy was super friendly. It was Taco Tuesday! He was very excited about this. The menu looked decent and we ended up ordering a bunch of different things, and only 2 tacos. However, the food was GOOD! Everything was tasty and had some flavor. They have salsa choices by the drinks. The quesadilla was excellent. And the tacos were good. Full. Nice little gem in the middle of nowhere. Good food, friendly service. read more

Best Taco John's I've ever had. Well managed and polite staff. Clean dining room and sauce area. Most of all, my street tacos were superb, potatoes olé were hot and soda was cold and well carbonated. I have had some bad taco John's experiences recently but this one helped renew my love for it. read more
