If you have been to the Shorewood Taco Bell in the past, you probably haven't gone back. My family and I have had an extremely challenging year. We had a gift card and we were exhausted. So, we stopped. We are not fans of the kiosks, and asked if we could order at the register. A young man ( Jaqwan ) immediately stepped over with a smile and let us know he would be happy to help. He gave us honestly the absolute best service we have ever had in a fast food establishment. Seriously. I was also impressed with how clean it was compared to our last visit. I met the new GM. She told me they're under new management. They have a great team. Jaqwan deserves a raise and a promotion. We will be spreading the good word to come back to Shorewood Taco Bell. read more

I entered this location to pick up an order. I counted 6 people working. Not one person acknowledged me standing at the counter for a solid 10 minutes. All were partaking in conversations amongst themselves. Several employees actually made eye contact with me and continued with their conversations. Being someone who is very polite and dislikes confrontation, a nice man finally spoke up on my behalf but I was still treated rudely after that. Common sense courtesy obviously isn't a thing for many people anymore. Then we got to the window and two of the workers were standing right there and didn't take our order there. If Hell exists they should send a representative up to take notes on this location. I understand being short staffed, but I have only had horrible experiences at this location. Usually it's just the norm, insane long wait times, even when the drive thru has like 5 cars in it. Food orders so very incorrect. Like they don't even try to get it right. This last time sealed it for me, never coming back to this location. I ordered online and they allowed for in store pickup. Okay, felt like this could solve my issues. I get there and the door is locked. Well the drive thru is long a slow, so I pull up to the window and explain the situation. I am told I have to wait in the line and to not do that is cutting everyone. Which makes no sense, I had already ordered and was told my food would be ready to pick up when I arrive. Turn off your online orders if it is the same system as the drive thru, because it makes no sense to put in your order ahead of time, if you cannot access when you get there. It was a situation with plenty of reasonable answers, but I was met with a worker who would rather just be a miserable human being. We approached the speaker to place our order and we were greeted with " welcome to Taco Bell, unfortunately right now we are only able to accept cash payments. We went ahead and drove to the bank next door to withdraw some cash and we still went back thru the drive thru to support Taco Bell. We ordered a chicken quesadilla, 4 taco supremes with no lettuce, a Mexican pizza and a beefy burrito. Our total was $27.44., we gave the cashier $40.44 and we received $12.25 back in change ‍‍when we got home, I was so disappointed. 1 taco had lettuce on it, and 3 tacos barely had anything in it. No tomatoes and no sour cream. We didn't get a receipt, when I asked why they are only taking cash, are your systems down, the guy said " no Taco Bell in the country has a card chip, we don't know why "... so apparently because of this outage, The people that have been hired to work there can't count, print a receipt or make the food properly. My wife got McDonald's while I went to Taco Bell for the rest of the family, my wife got her food, returned home and ate before I had even made it to the window to pay. I'm not above reviewing a taco bell... So, in my opinion, this is the "good" taco bell in the area (996 Brook Forest). The place always looks clean, it has a spacious dining area and they have rarely botched my order. On top of that, everything that I have ordered has never tasted past it's prime.
