CT Chk Meal....?
Ramona C.

Was supposed to be a Chicken Cantina Meal. Literally what is this. They handed us this concoction of what is literally just a broken taco shell and cheese. Not even melted. Just cheese. I could easily make this at home for less than $33 tf. The guy just said "Sorry.." as he handed it through the window. Also they gave us the wrong drink. Service was fine though. I guess.

This is supposed to be their new salsa verde burrito. Straight to the trash.

Cold food Indifferent service Incomplete orders Ordered 3 boxes and all the food was thrown in a bag.. surprise! An employee brings their kid in and they watch their iPhone at full blast in the dining room I know it's "fast food" but come on!!!

Receipt from visit, not including the cinnamon twists.

The daytime manager is very snooty and rude. Needs customer service training. I give it a 3 star based on my experience.

Can we give zero stars? Rude staff, horrible service. Argue with you even when you show proof of an order.

They definitely could use an extra hand. I waited 15 minutes for my breakfast burrito the place is literally empty inside now I know why.

This place point blank sucks. From customer service to getting your order right. The management at this place should really be retrained.

The servers know us well and greet us, we typically eat there once or twice per week. Their salsa is fresh and delicious (fresh roasted tomatoes and jalapeños) however the spice level can vary depending on the jalapeños peppers they use. Chips and salsa are free. Fresh made tortillas are a great addition to their meals. Their Spanish rice and refried beans are delicious, I could have just rice and beans with flour tortillas and be perfectly satisfied. For Breakfast, the Chorizo and eggs is my favorite served with rice and beans (country potatoes are an option) with corn or flour tortillas. My wife enjoys their pancakes. I enjoy their Coffee as well. For Lunch from 11AM to 3PM, they have several combination specials, but I like their red burrito. A meat filled (choice of carnitas, carne asada, shredded beef, chili Colorado and more) burrito covered with enchilada sauce and cheese served with Spanish rice, refried beans and a small salad with sour cream and guacamole. Carnitas dinner is another great choice. My wife loves their deep fried or grilled shrimp, but her favorite dish lately has been the chile rellanos. This is a hole in the wall joint, just good food at a decent price. Due to its popularity, we try to go during off hours between the crowds. After reading some of the one-star reviews I was disappointed, but noticed the number of reviews is relatively few for the number of customers this restaurant serves. Yes, if they are busy, service can suffer as they may only have one or two servers working both the customers in the restaurant and all the takeout orders. Are they perfect every time, of course not. However being local and wanting to support a good local restaurant, we understand the difficulties in running a popular business and a little inconsistency is expected. Unfortunately prices have gone up over the years as inflation impacts everyone.

I was visiting a friend in San Juan Bautista, and - knowing I love Mexican food - she insisted that…read moreI try the Taqueria El Milagro food truck. We went there, grabbed our order, and headed over to Daisy's Bar to enjoy it. We walked in, and the other people at the bar started talking to us about our food (because Daisy's is that kind of place!) "Is that from the food truck?" "Oh, they're the best!" "My favorite is the Al Pastor." It seems that all the locals in San Juan Bautista consider this THE place to go for great Mexican food. It's a typical "food truck" - though in this case, it's actually a trailer. It seems to be a permanent installation. They have a big tent with tables and chairs if you want to eat there. There is also a small stand in the same lot selling AMAZING churros, warm and fresh. The truck has a big menu, so I ended up eating there the next night as well. I tried their tacos with carne asada, and they were really, really good. Everyone at Daisy's said that the al pastor is the best, so the next night I went back for an al pastor burrito. Have you ever had a meal that you knew was too much to eat, but just couldn't stop? Yeah, that's what happened to me. I kept telling myself, "I'll save some of this for later" - and then it was gone! They have a red sauce and a green sauce. The red has some kick to it. If you don't like things too hot, get it on the side. The green is milder, but still has a little heat and lots of flavor. The people were really friendly, and service was quick. Prices are good, and the daily specials are incredible. I got four tacos for $6. Apparently this was once a "cash only" business. They now have a cardboard sign taped up saying they take credit and debit cards. Pay in cash if you can; for small businesses, the credit card processing fees add up. There are other good places to eat in SJB, but this is now my go-to place.

Was lucky to find a food truck that was selling delicious Mexican food near me. Decided to get the…read more2 fish tacos, 1 carnitas taco, and 1 lengua taco.
