It's a very competent place overall, though relatively pricy for the quality and quantity.
A maki set we had was sufficient for two and honestly scrumptious. The ingredients were fresh and well chosen. They found have been sliced and distributed more evenly across rolls, though it did nothing to detract from the enjoyment. There is no egg or tofu skin nigiri, which is a pity, as we enjoy then quite a bit.
My daughter enjoyed her duck udon noodles immensely. Which is a high praise from her, as she has eaten udon in Asia, and in Michelin star restaurants. She could not find any fault with this one.
We ordered sashimi and we will not do it again. One gets overall about 2 oz (60 grams) of fish). It's quite obviously the same slices that go into the nigiri. They are fresh, but overall unsatisfying.
Service is pleasant and attentive, though the restaurant charges for water.
We will certainly come back, but now we will be more mindful of the options. read more
