Everyone from the bus driver to groups of twenty-somethings fill the tables at meal times and tuck away generous portions of tasty local dishes. On our first visit we ordered the Enslada Mixta and Chorizo in Sidra. On our second go around we had the Cocido Montañés, and a daily special that turned out to be grilled pork belly, fried eggs and chips. All were satisfying and more than we could eat. Due to its location and lack of outdoor seating fewer tourists will be found here than around the church but that only means Filipinas must survive on local support and they cater to that clientele. If you are looking for decent lunch for a moderate price and looking to go native, then Filipinas should be on your list. We will come back.
