Dr. Benjamin Gonzalez and his staff are outstanding!…read more It is absolutely necessary to take care of your health needs, and to stay on top of yearly checkups, and when you're not feeling well. They do take walk-ins, but appointments are recommended. Ms. Jessica Hinson is one of Dr. Gonzalez's PA's, and she is amazing! She listens, and takes her time. I never feel that she is in a hurry to get to the next patient. When blood work is needed, it is convenient because they have a lab on the premises, you don't have to arrange to have it done elsewhere. They also can do EKG's if necessary. My entire family has all their health-care needs taken care of at Family Medical Associates!

I am extremely fortunate to have found the best health care provider. Not only can I depend on them for all my needs, wellness office visit, gyno exam, and labs with great customer service at one place they also have the best nurse practitioner. It goes without saying that having a knowledgeable, caring, compassionate, and thoughtful health professional in your life is so important. I have been seen by Nurse Practitioner Jessica Hinson since 2017. She is extremely talented, from her vast medical knowledge, her ability to listen (really listen) and her graceful determination in seeking to understand what & who her patient is is incredible. It isn't average in any sense, she is truly in her calling. She's making a big difference in people's lives. She's made a difference in mine. She doesn't realize that the care she has provided directly affects my welfare & my children's welfare as well, but it does, it has. To the amazing woman that she is & all it has taken to get her here -in service to the people of El Paso, I honor & celebrate her. Thank you for all the work, the sacrifice, the commitment to people's wellness. We are lucky to have you. May the Lord Bless You and Keep You... My GP, Dr. Xavier Munoz, is one of the many fine doctors and staff who function in this facility…read more It was time for my annual, and I was optimistic despite my being 20-30pounds/9-13kgs overweight. A week before, I had obtained my blood test orders and gone to Quest Diagnostics at (06:00), where Lluvia efficiently made the draw and later faxed the results to Dr. Munoz. I got over my initial shock upon seeing a former colleague, Carmen, who was accompanying her husband; my pleasure was doubled to meet receptionist Lulu, an exceptionally friendly professional who quickly got me in. She surprised me a bit at her magnificent ability, considering the large waiting room was rather full of patients (only a portion of whom were to see Dr. Munoz). I was taken aback slightly upon meeting Dr. Munoz, anticipating that he would shower me with good news about the results. Although all my numbers looked good, he was a bit grim about my white cell count--until I told him that I had donated platelets at UBS. To be on the safe side, he gave me a follow-up draw orders, not to be completed for at least a week, giving my bones time to make new blood. He also understood why I moved a bit slowly--my orthopaedist, Dr. Urrea, had told me a decade ago that I had premature arthritis, and now it is MATURE arthritis. Regardless that my knee is a bit gamey, I can still pedal. Indeed, I participated in the Rio Bravo segment of the international Chupacabra bike race held just South across the river, in Cd. Juarez, Mexico, Saturday. Talk about a great event; even better was my unwitting participation! Anyway, if you need superior primary care, you can certainly get it here, especially from Dr. Munoz. I give him/Valley Medical Clinic my wheel of approval!
