The man who was working in the shop took pity on my crap German and of course spoke fluent English. Which was great but it's akin to you being awakened from your momentary illusion that you are indeed not Marlene Dietrich but instead a bumbling fool who's command of English is worse then the German man. Bruised ego aside I got a few boxes of Romeo y Julieta and mumbled to myself as I left, "You may have the superior language ability but I got a bargain because I live in a really expensive country and you don't. The assortment of Cuban´s is one of a kind and the owner truly knows his profession. Advise provided and cigars suggested are very much tailored to the taste / needs / requests of the client. A true pleasure to buy here. Also if you come from outside the EU they provide Tax-free opportunity which gives you an additional discount of 19%. In summer there is a nice veranda in front of the "casa cubana" where you can enjoy the canal, the warm weather, the taste of a great cigar and a nice digestive. In winter they have own smoking facilities - though they prefer you to buy a cigar from them instead of bringing your own. Highly recommendable and enjoyable.
