I've traveled all over the world and never had I have to deal with something like this. I'm surprised these people are still in business. They sell pretty much everything way above market price and really have nothing special. I walked into another tobacco store yesterday and purchased two boxes of cigars and the owner was super nice. I will not spend a dollar at this store, and I was about to buy a lot of cigars and spend 2000-3000 Euros there, and don't recommend giving them business and encourage this type of behavior. Like for example, I am currently enjoying my vacation traveling the world. I have smoked my best cigars yet. Then I unfortunately ran out. I saw this cigar shop and went. But for any case I am not willing to spend money on only two cigars it's terrible. I thought I was gonna come to this cigar shop and spend 1,000 and leave with a couple boxes full of cigars. Instead I left unhappy and with no cigars. So in reality they just lost a great customer. On top of all this nonsense this cigar shop had terrible service. They were unpleasant and unwelcoming. Montecristo and my beloved Hoyo De Monterey epicurean#2 To my shock when I visited in person they had NO cuban cigars at all... I nearly fainted. There is now a world shortage of good ol cuban sticks I know its not their fault.... Just bummed

This was a real pleasure visiting Gerard Pere et fils since I have enjoyed their books/guides for…read morethe past 15-20 years. Anyone that is seriously interested in Habanos should look for the their two book set Cigars - The Art of Cigars/The Worlds Finest Cigars and the long out of print The Connoisseurs Guide to Havana Cigars. Both are excellent but difficult to find and unfortunately their only book readily available is the large Havana Cigars picture book. All were written by Vahe Gerard and his late father. Their books along with Min Ron Nee's and Charles Del Todesco's are my favorites. For this reason it is extremely interesting to walk into their beautiful store in the Grand Kempinski Hotel by the lake. BTW the address on Yelp is incorrect the store is located on Quai du Mont Blanc not Rue Plantamour. The Habanos selection is very impressive but what really gained my attention were their cigar accessories. The visit ended up with only a couple cigars purchased instead I happily acquired a Gerard Pere porcelain cigar jar and ashtray which are expensive but beautifully crafted. This is easily one of the nicest tobacconists I have had the pleasure to visit.
