Calling it "tacky" completely misses the point. There is a massive difference between something being outdated and something carrying the genuine, unpretentious charm of an old era. The Rex has character that you simply cannot buy or replicate in a modern build. Here is what makes a place like The Rex stand head and shoulders above the rest: The Old-School Charm: It stands proudly on George Street with its traditional corner-pub brickwork and heritage character.
