I know this was December the 25 2025 we went in at 5:30 pm from traveling 4 hours. It said it was open until 8. So we thought we were ok going in to eat. As we sit Down next to 2 truck drivers , a woman comes Out of the kitchen throwing a fit and slams the gate shut , and of course I'm not staying. I don't know what she was going through but it was upsetting . We went to the store next door , they were very kind. And they had also not got to eat because they blowed them off. 3 more truck drivers left the restaurant without food. I think it was very uncalled for. And I wish I knew her name. I'm sorry what she was going through. As we are leaving we met people needing to eat because they didn't have water at home. Gate still closed and the whole family waiting to go in. Sad. I just think you should know what went on Christmas night it was very unprofessional. I work with the public I understand but I would have lost my job if I behaved this way. read more

A perfectly adequate, if expensive, stop for fuel in the mountains on the North Carolina side of the border with Tennessee. This TA Travel Center is currently a distributor for Shell products so the 3 cents discount with my Fuel Rewards membership was nice though the $3.24 per gallon was the most expensive fuel on my entire three week trip. Seems a nice place to top off the coffee. It's a travel center so there's a full complement of "stuff" to satisfy all manner of travelers. Wireless electronics, antennae, cable, and lighting for the professional. Coffee, fats and protein for the enthusiast. Sammiches and assorted carb bombs for the novice or short-run. Four types of coffee, assorted meat-sticks on the roll-o-heater, hot and cold sandwiches, and recently prepared baked goods as well. The store is clean and well stocked as are the centrally located resting rooms. If you're feeling peckish try the Country Pride diner to the left. read more

Bath room is very small, and needs to be more modernize. All staff nice and made me fresh coffee, all 3 staff were very friendly and nice and very understanding. I really appreciate the love and openness of everyone. Thank you guys for everything. read more

If you have any other option - don't stop here. This station is old, run down, and could use a good cleaning. Everything feels to be full of grime and dirty. The gas pumps are routinely broken. The crowd that goes there isn't always the best. I can't say enough about how I don't trust this gas station. If you're going to get cheated or robbed at a gas station, this would probably be it. read more

This was a welcome sight after being stuck in traffic for over an hour. Employees were very friendly, and restrooms were older, but I was happy they worked! They carry plenty of snacks and drinks for your long road trips. Gas was a little pricey, so I just drove across the street and filled up my tank. read more

I mean, what can ya say about a travel center.... It had all the amenities of a normal highway-side gas station with the exception of a little restaurant on the side.... It was 5 star food, but man it was good ole down home southern cookin!! It's sort of a hidden gem on the side of I-40.... The one thing I would fix is the parking lot, a bit small and unorganized... But overall, everything weighs out to be a great experience!! read more

Came in to use the bathroom, there was a sign that said closed on the women's bathroom door, so me and hubby went to the cashier (bigger lady with reddish/brown hair) also to buy drinks, and asked if there was a bathroom I could use and she looked at us like we were retarded and was like "yeah it's right down there" and we explained there was a sign that said closed. She didn't say anything and looked at another worker and said "Robert are you done with the bathroom?" He had simply forgotten to take the sign off, I wasn't mad at that. We paid for the drinks and she asked if we wanted the receipt, we said no, and then she just walks away. No greeting, no "have a good day". But while I was waiting at the door for my husband, the guy that forgot the sign, walked by and told me to have a great day. At least someone is nice. read more

Sitting at the TA in Chandler NC like most trucks we sometimes add to the line of parking, making sure to leave room for other trucks. Tonight I get a knock on the door from Heather and her armed boyfriend telling me I have to move. Having no hours of service left (11 minutes) I was forced to purchase a parking spot, mind you I've been parked here for almost 3 hours at this point. Called the District Manager and he told me he didn't know who it would be that they don't have armed security or any security here. Not sure I feel safe here after that. Please check the security cameras. I can provide photos of the gentleman and his truck after he walked out of the store. She told him to leave before I get fired I was able to over hear that when he walked with her into the store and she seen I was getting information to contact management. read more

Stopped for the shower service. It was decent. Fairly clean - showing some wear and tear. I admittedly compare every TA to the one near Greensboro which is very modern and has the wood benches in the showers. This was adequate and friendly workers. read more

Dirty bathrooms and slow service. Not to many choices before going through the mountains. Gas price is high also.

Had the lunch special. Bbq with potato & soup & salad bar. Meal was good. Salad bar good. Waitress was very polite & nice. Nice place to stop. read more

I had a tire blow out on I-40 en route home to SC. Got to this TA and my phone had issues. Store clerks Daniel and Teresa helped me get a call in to roadside assistance with my insurer. Thanks so much to these two TA ambassadors and also for their over the top friendliness to a weary traveler. Better food than the pilot station that's 14 miles west on 40! We've been eating here for years and my kids love it! Easy parking quick interstate access! Good and friendly staff! The store is not the biggest but has plenty! read more
