CHARGED FOR ACCESSORIES DECEPTIVLEY - I'm writing this review as a customer of probably 20 years with several lines and I'm familiar with certain practices, but this deception is a new one. I came to the store to specifically purchase a certain phone but it wasn't available so I told the representative I would buy online. The representative responded with something to the effect of "why order online when we can give you this "bundle package" and you can get a phone immediately. I asked what the bundle package was and he stated it was a screen protector, phone case, and wireless battery charger. As a person who is very much appreciative of free stuff and since the GB wasn't a huge factor for me, we proceeded with the purchase. As a side note, I knew I was going to purchase this certain phone so I had already ordered a screen protector and case previously and I already had two wireless chargers at home. We proceeded with the purchase...THIS IS THE IMPORTANT PART..... during the purchase I was concerned about the amount of the taxes related to the down payment and he moved the screen around so that I could see how the amount was calculated, and no where on the screen were said accessories that I was to purchase. We completed the transaction and he installed the screen protector and mentioned something like "you will have lifetime screen protectors as long as you maintain the insurance". I immediately stated that I didn't want the insurance and at no point was asked if I wanted it. He said, okay I can take off but I told him no worries I'll just call customer service to remove (as I stated earlier, I'm familiar with certain practices). He put the receipt in my bag and I went to my car. Once I got to the car, I took the receipt out and was about leave and call customer service to cancel insurance and noticed that he charged me for the accessories. I immediately went back in the store, let it be known that I was aware of the deception and that I wanted my money back. He said something to the effect of "I gave you a good deal and didn't charge you a down-payment". I responded with that was not the "DEAL", you deceived me, and I want to return everything including the phone and I don't want to pay a restocking fee. Long story short I returned everything I purchased and was still charged a restocking fee even after I spoke with the manager on the phone and explained the situation. I'm deeply dissatisfied with the service at this location and I'm not sure if I'll continue with my service at T-Mobile. read more
