I stop by here on my way to Maastricht because it's nearly the halfway point. Their parking lot is large (AND BUSY!), with an over-flow area as well. The bathrooms are small, but they seem to work out okay. Not a lot of highway visitors here, even though it's directly off of the A2. Their self-ordering Kiosks can have a queue. They've changed the layout of ordering twice since I've first visited which probably delays some people. It doesn't matter too much because there are only so many orders they can process at one time, so you'll either wait at the beginning (before ordering) or after. The waiting area to pick up your order is small, can be crowded standing there. I'm sure they would prefer the people "dining in" to take their seat and wait for their number and then go get their tray, but I see a lot of groups just standing there waiting and then they go sit down. Hmmm..... It is super clean. That's what I note about this store the most. I haven't been to McDonald's in years in the US, but since in NL, I frequent them a little more since they are so nice and the food seems better quality. I have to mention the best part of this McDonald's in Best, NL - it's the retro decoration of the restaurant. Those original looking "Golden Arches", the Marilyn Monroe rotating statue, the Chevy in the ceiling and all the other memorabilia will make you forget about being homesick for America. They do it well, not too much. Even the tables and stools remind me of retro diners in the US. Certainly worth a visit when near Eindhoven.

They have won something called the Frietopia award from 2009-2014. No word on what happened in 2015. The fries are really rich and fatty, and have a subtle potato flavor. The croquettes and chicken sticks are extra crispy, and a little longer than the average croquette format. The vanilla milkshake tasted very artificial, it was very sad. They have a limit of 6 small fries per person, so that the line doesn't move any slower than it already does, so keep that in mind if you're ordering for a large group. The line at the counter was crazy. We waited 45 minutes before we could order and another 10-15 minutes for our food at 6:30pm on a Saturday night. I don't think it's worth it just for the fries, but clearly many other people disagree with me, otherwise there wouldn't be such a crowd. The wait was sort of gezellig, with people of all types cramming into the small shop. Some of the older women in line got all judgey at me for having a 2 year old in this establishment, but I guess that's just an old fashioned Dutch mentality. Like I said, you'll see all kinds here.

I once stood in the freezing cold, a thick 2 inches of snow, for 45 minutes just to get my hand on some fries. Believe me, I'd do it again. Probably will actually come December. Those golden brown and crispy thickly cut fries, with proper mayonnaise on them. Oooh there's just nothing that beats it! I originally found this place When going through Antwerp and got hungry, so I decided to order food from a place near me. When I went to get my food and eat it in my car (because I couldn't eat it there thanks to COVID) I noticed how the workers behind the counter were working very quickly and already preparing food for the next client. I ordered a regular bicky burger and medium fries with sweet mayonaise on it. First bite: glorious! It was delicious, the burger was very nice and perfectly cooked, the meat was very soft and yet held together very well, the unions made the taste pop and all the sauce was great too, I was pleasantly surprised. Then the fries, they gave a lot for my money and each fry was done very well, I couldn't find any that were way too soft and for some reason I found the very crunchy little ones the best of the bunch. The sweet mayonaise Also tasted amazing and there was plenty of it for my meal. Overall, great place, I highly recommend for anyone passing by.
