For our first annual Mother's Day Honor Lunch, we decided to go to Brookwood. I am thrilled with our experience! They had an abbreviated menu that weekend. We both had the Mesibov salad to start. I was wonderful and from what i understand, Brookwood is known for this salad. For our meal, I had the eggplant, and my friend had the pork chop. We also had a choice of delicious desserts. I chose the cheesecake. The serve was wonderful, the food was tasty, the atmosphere was perfect with a piano player, and the dining area was clean. I noticed a faint smell of cafeteria type scent, but it dissipated in a few minutes. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The "Community" is such a wonderful space for people in need. I recommend reservations. Make sure you plan for extra time to visit the store and the garden. Beautiful finds! 5/10/2025: The Gift & Garden Center... What a place! Brookwood was a wonderful experience with the lunch and then we got to shop in the store and the garden. I went back to the register 4 times, and mind you, I am not a shopper by nature. They have so many great items and I was surprised the prices were pretty decent. Clothing, shoes, bags, home decor, candles, gourmet snacks, Brookwood Community handmade items, a whole western hat and boot section, and so much more! They even have a local artist gallery with high end artwork and sculptures. One of a king beautiful piece! I like that the items were rare-ish finds. These are not items you will find at regular stores. They are more boutique type items. We also shopped in the beautiful garden. I purchased a lovely Bougainvillea for only $25.00. A regular store near me would have sold the same plant for at least $35.00. The ladies in the store are super helpful. I am glad they aren't close to my home because living nearby could be dangerous on my wallet. Even though prices are good, I wanted to buy everything in the store!

The chairs were hard but that's after sitting for long periods of time. From time to time we couldn't understand the performers due to the echo but mostly the sound was good. It's a nice place with lots seating, good stage views no matter where you sit and even a balcony section.

From what I've been told, this was the first Civic Center established in Fort Bend County, and there was nothing like it for years until some of the other suburbs started making their own. Despite its age, it's been kept up with very well. The lobby area is well maintained, there's ample parking with the school district parking right behind the building, and the acoustics are solid. In the main area, there are tiers of seating, including a balcony, and the chairs on the floor are movable so different setups can be accommodated. There's a lot of potential. I really think the city needs to figure out more ways to put the building to use. It would be great for smaller events that wouldn't fit well at the Stafford Center's theater.

It has a library, swimming pool, soccer fields, basketball courts, and I believe there's a tennis court as well. Since it was already close to closing time at 8 pm, we didn't get a chance to go inside, but the facilities appear to be fairly new. There were quite a lot of people around, with families walking, kids playing sports, and people enjoying the different amenities. It was nice to see such a diverse group of people making good use of this public space. There's also a walking trail, so it's a nice place to bring the family or simply come by yourself for a leisurely walk, some fresh air, or a little people-watching. I didn't notice any public restrooms outside, though, so that's something to keep in mind. Overall, it seems like a great community facility and a nice place to spend some time outdoors.

For both outdoor and indoor activities, this is an incredible option for folks in the community. The space is substantial with a bevy of options that include a skatepark, swimming pool, tennis courts, an enormous children's playground, and lots of room for folks looking to exercise outdoors. It is a pet friendly area and a perfect destination for families, social gatherings, and even special occasions. Parking is abundant all throughout the property. The neighborhood center includes a gym + fitness center (#1), basketball courts, and indoor walking track. There are venue spaces for both adults and children for up to 25 people at no cost. There is also after school enrichment programs for kids, teens, and additional programs for seniors. There are volunteer opportunities and community development programming throughout the year. Because it's still fairly new, the facilities and everything are in good shape. Best of all, it's all free. __________ (#1) Note: there is no shower or sauna.

Came to pick up a family friend from camp with my own newborn and toddler in tow. After waiting in the carpool line I pulled up and proceeded to load them In. A young lady told me I can't stop but to just be quick so I continued. I'm not sure how you safely put kids in the car without stopping, so i didn't realize this was problematic. The next lady that approached me was extremely rude yelling at me that I can't do this and she's going to report it. I let them know I don't the system, but if they tell me a better option I would be happy to do it. There was no reason to be that rude. Politely offering a more appropriate solution would've been sufficient. Instead this lady was aggressive with me as I was juggling two toddlers and a newborn in the Texas summer heat. The last thing I wanted to do was slow down the line, but being nasty about it when the first young lady told me it was ok feels like her anger was misplaced. Unacceptable.
