Very disappointed with this company. They provided a quote and then over charged. Blamed it on us…read morestating that we under reported what we had to move. We asked 4 separate times for them to come and see the house prior to the move but "we don't do that". They said we would only need 2 guys and we pushed for 3...thank goodness as it took the 3 of them over 8 hours to move everything. This company contracts out the move and we have no complaints about the movers themselves. I would strongly discourage anyone from using metropolitan movers. Even when I called to question how our bill was $1000 over our original quote the guy I talked to was condescending and blaming. Save yourself the headache

Sam offered an estimate over the phone. I told him that I wanted the estimate to be close to the…read moreactual cost as my mother (92) was on a fixed income. When the move was over, we were charged almost twice the amount of the estimate. The movers told us there should have been a third man in their crew but he'd gone to the hospital after cutting his hands in the morning job. So of course we wondered if that was why the job took so much longer. The movers left their dollies at my mom's condo forgetting to pack them for when we got to mom's new place. They only went to pick up the dollies when most of the furniture had been moved in. One of my brothers told them they had not only forgotten to pack their dollies, but that they had left my mom's 55" television at the back entrance of the condo building. They borrowed a key to get back into the building to pick these items up. Then, they never gave the key back. I would highly recommend not using this business in the future. Sam did not care to help with any of the concerns we raised.
