One of the dopest curries I had in Berlin for a ridiculous price. The venue is small and not very cozy (also the interior is a terrible accident of neon green and blue) BUT GOD DAMN THE FOOD. I am a huge fan of cheap asian food because it's usually good enough. But Tönis set a whole new level. The curry is bursting with flavours and fresh vegetables. I absolutely love this "No time for BS" attitude: No GMO, No fancy shmanzy interior, No asian fusion hipster bla bla. Straight up solid and delicious food. read more

This place is rather tiny so I wouldn't recommend it to larger groups BUT I would definitely recommend it to everyone else! My girlfriend loves this place and wanted to show it to me for quite a while already. Now I understand why. The menu offer 13 different options which I appreciate. To me that the stuff they do, they do well! In the main part of the restaurant you basically sit right by the kitchen and see everything that is going on. When we were there, there was a male cook and a tiny (probably vietnames) lady who took care of the guests. She was that kind of lady you want to have up front representing your business - always smiling, having short casual conversation with everyone and just being very nice to the guests in general. About the food... As I mentioned, I had meal number 12 and although I am usually not the biggest rice-eater, I devoured this dish. That should actually say enough about my opinion about the food. I can really understand why people like to come here regularly. read more

Tôni at his best! Really fresh food, good tea (jasmine), nice rice, undisputable facts & folks. Ups! But authentic value! Go for gold! No glutamate that's what it is :-) We lived here for almost 8 years. And went there for many times. Und auch hier wieder der Vergoldung virtueller Rundstücke hinterhergehechtet. Weil ich's nicht glauben mochte. Heute, wo wir weiter weg wohnen - sobald wir in seine Nähe kommen - mampf! Aus vollen Rohren! Hä? Passt irgendwie nicht. read more

Good and cheap, but was not blown away. Expected more since it had a five star rating. I got the curry and it was pretty good but definitely not the best I've had by a long shot. Service was also pretty slow. read more

Wer schnell,preiswert,sehr lecker und qualitativ hochwertig vietnamesisch essen will..ist hier genau richtig.Kein Restaurant um lange zu verweilen,also gemütliches Dinner gibts hier nicht.Macht auch meistens so gegen 19Uhr zu.Der perfekte Laden für ein leckeres,ausgewogenes Mittagessen ohne irgendwelche Zusatzstoffe.Die kochen super frisch und vor Deiner Nase.Nettes,lustiges Personal.Prima-Preise.Ich esse hier mindestens zweimal/Woche Mittag.Liegt auf dem Weg ok,aber schmeckt eben auch spitze. read more

This is by far the best restaurant in Moabit, the food is amazing, extremely cheap, free tea included (and the owners are not trying to make money by forcing you to order a drink, which I appreciate so much! but of course you can buy drinks if you want), and very friendly personnel. In the summer one can sit outside. During lunchtime it can get crowded, since a lot of working people love to come here, but then again, you can squeeze in with others and share a table - after all, it's Moabit! Not sure what the review below means by saying that the people are "lousy." Everybody at Tonis is very nice, easygoing, and hard working. They are always friendly even when it gets stressful, and they do work a lot! read more

Der Laden hält, was er verspricht: Das Essen schmeckt hervorragend, die Karte ist übersichtlich, es gibt Tagesgerichte, die noch etwas günstiger sind. Das Essen ist glutamatfrei und es ist ein sehr freundliches Restaurant am Rande des größten innerstädtischen Industriegebiets in Berlin. Auf Hochstühlen, an einer Bank im Hinterzimmer und vor dem Restaurant gibt es sehr gutes Essen, das frisch zubereitet wird. Das ist nicht die gehobene Küche in erlesenem Ambiente, sondern ein Laden, der in den Kiez passt und mit guten Preisen, guten Portionen und guter Qualität für sich selbst wirbt. Absolut empfehlenswert! Die Gerichte sind sehr lecker, frisch und das Gemüse noch knackig. Zum Reis gab es verschiedene Gemüsesorten in leckerer Soße liebevoll garniert mit Kokosraspeln, gehackten Erdnüssen oder frischen Kräutern. Die Bedienungen waren wirklich sehr nett, aufmerksam und sehr flott unterwegs. Eine Kanne Grünen Tee gibt es immer gratis dazu. Abends sitzt man draußen in der Abendsonne. EInfach der absolute Hit. Ich kann mittlerweile nicht mehr an zwei Händen abzählen wie oft ich schon dort war. Die Speisekarte an sich ist überschaubar dafür aber unheimlich abwechslungsreich. Die Preise für die Qualität des Essens sind mehr als günstig! Leider kann es zur Mittagszeit und Abendzeit leider echt voll werden.
