I was surprised to see Jones Soda and aloe water being offered as well. Diabetic? Celiac? Vegetarian? There are sugar-free, gluten-free, or gelatin-free gummy candies that are sold by weight. I also noted that the chocolate bar prices are even lower than some discount chains, though that may be an opening special. It's definitely worth checking out, but maybe not right after school gets out since it is crawling with hyper kids that annoy the employees.

They're still making these candies the same way that they did back then - entirely by hand. Other than an electric heater that helps keep the raw candy "dough" warm enough to work, nothing has changed in a century. It's a small shop, so our tour group didn't stay long. Just long enough to watch them turning and folding the candy, then cutting it into bits to be wrapped. We got a free sample too, which was pretty neat. The candy is very pretty and comes in a few dozen different flavors. Certainly any gift of this you bring back to home will be appreciated. Delish!

Number one: it's a mix your own candy shop (best ones EVER) Number two: they have all my personal favorite candy. Number three: they have all the unhealthy drinks you can think of. Number four: they have a super good selection of chips, flavors you can not get in the normal grocery stores. Number 5: If you do not like to mix your own candy, do they have the best selection of American sweets, not to be found elsewhere in Denmark. Number six: very friendly service. Number 7 which is the best: it's cheap. It can make one's day better when you bike by and see that they have a birthday or other event and their candy is extra reduced. There, I feel it is my own birthday. The only negative I have to say is that everyone else on Nørrebro have found out how good this candy store is, so there is always a fairly good line. Alarmingly, the staff seemed familiar with the thief/theft, even conversing with him in Roma, and appeared more upset with us for expressing our distress than with the situation itself. To make matters worse, the chef was confrontational and lacked empathy. If my customers were robbed in my establishment, I would be deeply embarrassed and would prioritize assisting them instead of responding aggressively. I was unable to pay for our meal because my device was taken, yet the restaurant insisted on charging us the full price, which we observed another patron pay. They did not contact the police or report the theft. Instead of providing assistance, we were asked to leave while the thief was allowed to walk away, despite three witnesses confirming he was the one responsible. Afterward, we approached the police, who informed us that such treatment of customers is unacceptable and raises serious safety concerns. I strongly advise potential diners to reconsider their choice of restaurant. While the food may be enjoyable, the treatment of customers left much to be desired.

I heard about this company 3 years ago on a Travel Channel show. It's a brand from Denmark that offers many different flavors of candy & chocolate coated black licorice in salty, fruity, sweet, and even spicy combinations. I ordered a boxed selection of 9 different flavors on Amazon just out of curiosity. We ended up loving them. All the flavors taste so natural. The passionfruit is my favorite. My husband likes the Habanero one. Well, now I can say that we have a new favorite. It's the limited edition Banoffee. The nice lady who greeted us offered samples. She said we could try any flavors that we wanted. We were already sold on our favorite Banoffee dessert one. The licorice is a little on the pricey side, but it's so worth it. The customer service here is fantastic! They know that people will buy it once they try it. These flavor combinations are so unique, and especially if you like licorice. We ended up seeing another location at the Westfield Center in the HafenCity district of Hamburg. It would be yet another opportunity for a last in-store purchase before heading back home. Don't pass it up if you happen to see one. It's worth trying even if you're not a fan of licorice. It's the combination of flavors that make it so special.

Oh boy were these so delicious! They let you sample anything you want. Scandinavia takes their black licorice very serious! I bought a ton and almost put my luggage overweight. Found out they sell them on Amazon and eBay so I ordered a ton more when I got back to the states. These take a while to get used to but after a while they start to become an addiction. :-)

Their anise and cola flavored hard candy are outstanding, but the clear winner is the bergamot. That's right - of Earl Grey fame, they actually have bergamot flavored candy, and it's SUPER delicious. Their website is in Danish and doesn't machine translate well, but it looks like for 50 DKK, you can get a 200gr bag of sweets. I don't care what the international shipping is, there is more bergamot flavored candy in my near future. I'm eating the last of my bergamot drops as we speak...and it saddens me. The staff looked thrilled to be dealing with the kids going ballistic in the shop, but I don't expect theme park employees to be bursting with pride and excitement for their jobs. However, they're about the only unfriendly people I've run in to so far in Denmark. But...it's worth it.
