One of Stockholm's worst malls just managed to become relevant. Not sure it will improve the…read moreshopping but the food scene here certainly has improved. Looking at what they have done here I think they will also bring in a lot of people just for the food. The new concept is in a sense similar to K25 in that they have brought together several good places in a food court and the design is also very similar to K25. There are plenty of seats but I can imagine that it will still get busy at peak times. The design is modern and I like that they shielded it a bit from the surrounding mall so the nice design does not have to clash with ugliness of the mall itself. The range of food offered is pretty good as well with Adam & Albin doing ramen, Magnus Nillson from Fäviken doing hot dogs, Claes from Nook doing Asian inspired food and Catenacci doing just good food as well as several others (there is a bakery, some kebab and some other stuff) The range of food, drinks and atmosphere will surely bring in the crowds here and prices are pretty decent so as a fast food option it is really good and a welcome addition to the food scene here.

My boy had the ramen, and though it didn't hold up to what's available in SF or Tokyo, it was tasty. I went for the white asparagus from Magnus Nillson, which is presented like a hotdog. The accompanying salad was the best I've had in Stockholm! Many places serve beer and wine. Water and wifi is available for free. There are plenty of vegetarian options and the Daniel Roo pastries will certainly appeal to everyone!

NK Saluhall is the main food area on the lower level of NK Stockholm, one of the cities most grand,…read moreold and impressive department stores however I'm sad to say, especially after giving the main store four-stars - the food area just didn't impress me. They did have a nice selection in terms of fresh produce, in many ways it felt like a farmers market and you could even make and ground your own almond butter through a machine but other than a small selection of this sort - there wasn't really much else which for a huge store was a little disappointing. I was disappointed with a lack of to-go food and stands here, making it different (and not in a good way) to similar department stores including Harrods, Marks and Spencer and Selfridges of London for example. I did find it hard to find a member of staff, compared to the rest of the store here. They didn't have a great gluten-free selection either in terms of products made gluten-free - it was non-existent. NK Saluhall doesn't compare to the main store sadly, but still, it deserves an extra star as it does offer some unique products in a nice way you can't get anywhere else in Stockholm.

You will salivate over top quality food displays, ranging from meats, seafood, cheeses, pastries, etc.... I can't afford to shop or dine here too often but if you want to try really good smörgås (Scandinavian open sandwich), check out "Tysta Mari", seafood deli inside. If you fancy "fika" (coffee break), check out Robert's Coffee near the entrance... you can get a coffee and a yummy vaniljhärta for take away and take a stroll in Humlegården, a beautiful park only a few blocks away (even though a nice weather is very unlikely to happen.... lol).
