I was here for about an hour, watching the comings and goings of the regulars and the visitors from a high-top table against the wall. It was overall very unpleasant lugging my too heavy bags over the uneven cobblestones with an umbrella occupying one hand. Anyway, Hotel Reisen faces the water, which would have been a wonderful view but I didn't pay for that so instead I got a still cute room facing the alleyway. I've got no complaints; everything was perfect about the room. The hotel has a lovely breakfast with a sort of deviled eggs and little tubes of fish that was included in my stay. Not a ton of food but surprisingly filling. There is a sauna and a cold plunge that requires a swimsuit which I didn't bring. I was tempted to buy a swimsuit I didn't really care for $180 or so but decided to buy lots of ground coffee from the gift shop instead. The gym was a small one room situation. The $200 for the 1hr Swedish massage that I was hoping to change my attitude about Swedish massage didn't change my mind. Overall, super cute. Great location. Would stay again!

She helped me get my preferred room type and was so kind in doing so. This hotel is very charming, in a historic building from the 1600s that used to be a 'semi-legal' coffee house, among other things, and the character practically bleeds through the walls. The underground sauna/cold pool/wellness area was amazing and honestly not like anything I've seen before. I cannot WAIT to come back and stay at Hôtel Reisen again next time I'm in Stockholm - tack så mycket, Annelise and team!

We signed, we put up the credit card for incidentals, we got keys, the tv had my name on it to welcome us and we spent the 1st night in the room with nothing seeming amiss, and upon disclosing our name and room number we were welcomed to the breakfast that next morning. But then that day we got a no-show charge via email and worried housekeeping would pack up our belongings with the room showing as unoccupied in their system, so upon our return from that day's interrupted activities we had to sort it out. They checked us in (again) but this time for realsies and they said the no-show charge was the same as the room charge so our 4-night stay became officially a 3-night stay. I'm still not sure if the rate stayed the same but it all seemed more or less fixed at the time... but now Marriott Bonvoy isn't giving me credit for the room night and the points so I'm still dealing with it weeks later which is crazy because we were there. So annoying. But the hotel really was nice. The room was spacious, the lounge was beautiful with an enormous multistory chandelier and the breakfast really was epic. Lots to see via short walks, meals, destinations and transit access in every direction. Nice place.

Not only is the hotel situated in a perfect spot - close to lots of foodie drinkie places - but also to the water and to old town, just short walks away! The breakfast is super great but another reviewers have noted, getting there early is definitely best. The place can be absurdly busy later in the mornings! But the selection of brekkie options is great and there an omelette station too. Our meetings were just around the corner from the hotel so our group booked lunch here every day. Really nice and the staff was always so helpful. The food was excellent too. Staying here I typically would walk out for dinner in town and come back for a nightcap. The bar team was always great and it turns out the bar manager is a whiskey connoisseur and he has crafted a special Clarion Hotel whiskey from Mackmyra but you can't buy it. You can only get it at the hotels. It's a really nice whiskey I have to say! Very smooth but full of flavor. It turns out as he and I were talking about my home in bourbon country, he shared how he got the beautiful flavor. The whiskey spent its time in three different barrels and I love them all!: a traditional bourbon barrel, a Spanish rossa barrel, and a sherry cask. Now I know what you're thinking, but trust me when I say it's amazing. Finely crafted and likely to go with just about any Swedish dish you could imagine pairing it with. Truly great! The service at the front desk was helpful and friendly, and they made me feel right at home. The double rooms are small by American standards, but about average for European hotels. Everything looked clean with elegant lines, and was pretty much everything I needed. I checked out the workout room and the pool - the gym was ok with decent machines, but the pool was a bit small. You definitely wouldn't feel comfortable sharing it with another family, but would be lovely if you had it all to yourself. The breakfast buffet was large with a lot of variety, and the front desk helpfully warned us to stay away from 9-10, as this is the time that most of the boat tourists come to breakfast. Outside those hours, there is plenty of room and food.

Staff and customers all struggling to get between the seats and tables through narrow gaps. Food was warm enough, not hot but acceptable, quality was mediocre. Very expensive even for Sweden taking into consideration the lack of heating and mediocre food offerings. Staff were polite enough but no real customer service to speak of. Not a patch on TGIF in the UK or US and there are many better places to eat in central Stockholm.
