O'Learys is a Swedish franchise restaurant chain with the concept of American sports bar and restaurant. They are over more than one floor, and you can access the other floor through the Mall of Scandanavia, in which it is located in, in a town called Solna, in the outskirts of Stockholm. I approached the bar area - there was a table stating they were cashless - which is a growing theme in Stockholm. After waiting for a few minutes shouting "hello" "hello" no one seemed to be there - I know they were serving people downstairs as they had tables and a bar area and of course a stand typically places would have before sitting someone down - Nevermind bad service this is no service. The place also seemed to lack authenticity, I get during the international break for football there isn't much on but instead of showing a real game or a classic game from the past they ended up showing a game which was two weeks old as if it was real - surely anything other even a sports news channel would be better than and old, unremarkable game from the end of August? Really bad service for what I'm finding out is a chain which lacks the authenticity they claim to have. 1*

Ordered mozzarella sticks.. came out cold. Fish & chips came out cold. Fish undercooked and was like a wet sponge. Fries soggy enough to be braided into a nice bracelet.. if I would have wanted to. Had to get up and get utensils myself, Servera didn't even bother bringing these.. even though I asked for them?! Didn't even have parsley or the lemon as said on the menu. When questioning why the served food isn't the same as the menu provided the reason was "game day menu", Ehm well we ordered the said items from that game day menu. We even told the servers that we wouldn't eat this food and they could send it back to the kitchen. They offered to make another for us, but in honesty.. a half empty restaurant with that many staff members running around and taking over 40 minutes to be served the first time we declined. Best part.. the staff actually had the nerve to try to charge us for the food we sent back! I mean what the actual F*CK?! You serve something that was unacceptable and we send it back with the server and decline having it remade and you expect us to actually pay for it? Server goes back to the register, comes back with a discounted price on the receipt instead. Now why on earth would I want a discount for something I haven't even eaten, something I specifically asked to be sent back?! Not even the "manager" took it upon herself to have the conversation with us she actually avoided the issue! We told our servers over and over again that we are not mad at them or have an issue with them serving us. But paying for something that we even sent back? Yeah how about.. NO! The food wasn't even removed from the table.. was just left sitting there throughout our duration sitting there waiting to pay for our sodas, which in all honesty is amazing to have been charged for.

But service left more to wish of. The restaurant was far from full and three servers on duty. Service was soooooooooo slooooooow. We got our first drinks rather quick, but still much slower than at most places. Food we had to wait for. The party at the table next to us got food before us even if they ordered later. Before we ordered we showed our discount tickets "Yes, of course" we got as respond. So it was clear she saw them and knew what it was. During dinner we ordered another beer and it must have raken almost 15 minutes and a reminder "It is on its way" before we finally got it, after meal was finished. The bill came super quick but now we got an attitude when pointing out discount was not calculated. "No, because noone showed us any tickets" was the reply. "Yes we did". "No you didn't". "Did anybodyelse serve on us?". "I have no idea, we are so many working here". To this I eish I had replied "Maybe then it wouldnt tske 25 min to get the refill". Note, it was the same girl serving on us the entire time. Note, all tables around us had to wait for refills. At places with good service, servers ASK YOU if you want another drink before you know it yourself. But here, they obviously do not care for some extra bucks. Well, unfortunately you cannot subtrack for bad service. I would have given one star but food was actually good. So if you have all the time in the world and don't mind snotty servers / please enjoy the meal. Also I gate their stick table cloths! They grt stuck on your arms ALL THE TIME. Maybe I need better manners not leaning my arms on the table... They accept AMEX.
