I like cosy, clean and tastefully decorated spaces. There needs to be a warm, safe and luxurious feel to the place and I avoid clinical over the top contemporary modern style or places where the girls have these vulgar manicures - no offense. Spasiba is well located on Boulevard de Waterloo. There is plenty of parking outside, so no stress. On arrival you are given a thick cotton dressing gown and comfortable slippers. Then you go through the doors and enter a safe haven of calm. A waiting room lit by candle lights, with oriental sofa beds filled with cushions and curtains for privacy. A sauna and a hammam are also an option prior your massage. After using the spa facilities, relaxing and drinking a infused tea which is placed at your disposal on a table in the waiting room, you are called for your massage. By the time it is finished you can go back to the waiting room and relax, use the spa or take a shower and go home. Last time my massage was so relaxing that I slept for 2 hours straight after! I would give you the names of the masseurs I recommend but if I do that then I might not be able to get appointments for myself any more! I recommend this place and for you to discover!!

The place looks very clean, all the tools are sterilized, the staff is friendly and chatty. While I was there I kept thinking this was the best pedicure i had ever gotten. The technician did so many procedures, so many layers and she seemed so knowledgeable. The chairs vibrate and give you a massage. The whole pedicure process lasted for more than 1 hr and both my friend and I felt pampered. However, the next day, my friend woke up with this major infection around the big toe nail which lasted ab 10 days to drain and heal... And I noticed my ingrown nail edges were still there somehow two-three days after this amazing, supposedly thorough pedicure..! No idea how that was possible. It is also a pricey pedicure, which had it not been for the infection and my nail edges painfully still in there, I would have said it is worth it. But as it stands now, sorry, we won't go back..

Maybe not the cheapest offer but the teacher, ambiance, spotless facilities, their amazing client service is worth every penny. Less Zara shopping this month I've also tried their back massage and it was fantastic. I look forward to different ones, even though they are a bit pricey. I have been to a number of spas and massage places over the years and across continents, but I must say this has been my best experience yet, even though it's not at a fancy, five-star, luxurious place. As they say, don't judge a book by its cover. I was greeted by the owner and massage specialist/therapist, a really kind, open-minded, soft-spoken woman. The first thing she did when we entered her relaxation room was offer me some tea. She'd decorated the area using colors she felt would soothe me upon my arrival, a really nice touch already, then took the time to listen to me while we enjoyed our tea, so she could get an idea about my physical and mental health (this includes questions about one's diet and exercise routine, though one can always choose not to answer). After that, the first thing she did, after I got changed, was to give me a foot bath/massage, in warm water with two different kinds of salts (both all natural, from two different parts of the world), and a pepper/mint essential oil to get the blood flowing. Once that was done, it was massage time. Now let me tell you, I had picked the "harmonizing massage" (figured it'd be a great way to start the year), using the oil I'd picked (she makes her oils herself, all with organic, natural ingredients as well), and it was amazing! It was a massage from head, to foot, front and back, and it was absolutely relaxing! Not only that, but usually, the moment the hour rings (and sometimes even earlier), massage therapist quits, and it can feel really abrupt. Aurelia didn't. She went way beyond the hour (of course, the fact that she didn't have another client right away afterwards helped) to make sure that the massage was complete, paying great attention to every knotty part to soothe out all tension. I know I'm going to repeat myself here, but this included the soles of the feet and the scalp of my head. It was absolute heaven! And that is why I will for sure be going back here on a regular basis--you may find yourself in a simple room, helped by one person only, but you're sure to get royal treatment! If there is only one person handling all clients then they should not book back to back. Highly unprofessional and rude behavior.
