This property at 2675 Bloor St West is marginally well maintained and is handy to transit.
That's the end of anything good to say about this place! This small apartment complex place is a tenants virtual NIGHTMARE!
The building owners cannot be traced through public records, so any problems tenants may encounter at this address comes up against a Mgr. that for all intents and purposes, exhibits continuous erratic and sociopathic behavior towards renters! On a regular basis, this aging woman uses her position to try to extort monies from tenants for alleged property damages.
She regularly utters false claims and makes demands for money by e-mail to various tenants. She will sometimes use forged documents to try to legitimize her bizarre and unfounded claims of tenant misconduct and/or property damage. (She recently claimed that someone was shaking the walls of the building). She has on more than one occasion tried to illegally collect rents above the stated provincial guidelines using the aforementioned falsified documents. In one situation a tenant's lawyer made her return an illegally collected rent overage. She initially refused to return the monies, but finally recanted when she was warned that she would face a court appearance relating to uttering forged documents, as well as fraud and theft in this matter!
She will post "WANTED" style posters in the lobby complete with photos of tenants which she captures with the 14 video surveillance cameras that are situated inside and out of this 14 unit apt complex. With these "Posters", she will ask other tenants to identify the people in the posters as she tries to set up a "SNITCH NETWORK" in the building. The police have spoken her to on a few occasions about this behavior after tenants have made formal complaints about this situation. She has tried to use a part time superintendent as a "physical enforcer" of her ever-changing and illegal rules on at least one occasion, but that did not end well for him. Police charges are pending regarding this incident and will move forward after the courts are back to regular business!
She posts many notices about the current pandemic and has actually tried to restrict movements within the building of some of the tenants (which she publicly names on her posters claiming they are possible COVID 19 carriers!
Against this 3-ring Circus background, she hypocritically visits the building regularly to post her warnings, notices of accusations, wanted posters, etc., but does not herself, practice any form of social distancing or use any type of personal C19 preventative measures. She also unwisely brings friends and family and other strangers to socialize at the property (none of them practice social distancing or wear preventative masks either), thereby undermining the efforts of the isolating tenants at this address.
She has defaced tenants doorways, strewn garbage in tenants parking areas, and damaged some personal property of the tenants she has had a disagreement with! (The disagreements are usually about the hallways, which are illegally darkened for approximately 12 hours a day, lack of proper snow clearance, attempts on her part to illegally enter tenants apartments, unsanitary conditions in common areas, or challenges to her demands for monies from tenants for fabricated property damages). These disagreements are often punctuated by screaming sessions at residents' doorways!
She immediately threatens to evict anyone who questions her erratic behavior. Because of these aforementioned issues, and many other ongoing unpleasant tactics which this Mgr. uses to regularly harasses the tenants at this address, few people extend their tenancy for any length of time beyond their initial rental agreement.
