Before meeting Cris, I was skeptical of Acupuncture, and never tried it. I threw my back out again, only this time it was worse, much worse... Like, geriatric status. Usually, 2 weeks is the minimum amount of time required for me to be able to not hobble. I decided to give the needles a shot. This is not a paid advertisement.. I was 50% better the SECOND I got up from the table.. two days later I was chalking up, splitting my little boy shorts, and competing in the Crossfit games. Not really, but I was back in action, and felt amazeballs.. forgot I wasn't on cocaine. Today, Cris helped me with my strep throat symptoms; utilizing some scraping techniques that I've never heard of. You need to check him OUT! read more

I have to preface this with; I am not a fan of needles. With that said, I was recommended to Syntruvia by a friend after discovering that I had been battling chronic back pains. I went hard on a workout this weekend and woke up the following day with difficulty standing straight. I have experienced this before, so I decided to wait a few days hoping it would resolve on its own. Day 4 of resting it, my back was marginally better. That is when I decided to give Syntruvia a call to see Cris. Although I was a bit anxious about the needles, Cris did a good job explaining the process. I understood  what to expect and I felt comfortable during the entire treatment.  After getting off the table, my back pain was about 80% better, so I scheduled a few more visits to get back to 100%. Treatment 3 was a charm! Back is in tip top shape and I'm able to do my regular workouts without any limitations. I highly recommend Cris and Syntruvia. I can say that today, I look forward to the needles and the thorough treatment I get from Cris. Thanks for getting me back in order! read more

San Diego, I would like to introduce you to THE BODY MAGICIAN, Cris!! After 3 weeks of excruciating pain, endless massage sessions, and probably close to 50 tablets of Tylenol over that 3 week period, Cris put a screeching halt to my lower back pain in just 1hr!!! I've never met someone who is so in tune with another person's body. He knew exactly where my problems were by just touching back and hamstring, hence, why I call him The Body Magician! I made an appointment with Cris after a friend of mine recommended me to him. He was booked solid, which was a great sign, but because I was a referral, he got me in within 24/hrs. He knew I was in a ton of pain!! I get to his office and he assess my condition, within 10 minutes, he's zeroing in on exactly where the problem spots were. He put some needles in me, massaged the areas he thought needed attention and by the time the session was over I was feeling 30% better. When I wake up the next day I was 60% better. The day after that I was 90% better. I mean wow, wow, wow, I was shocked by how Cris fixed me up. It was like nothing I have ever experienced. Cris himself is such a professional. Very kind, compassionate, and actually cares. His rates are extremely reasonable for the service he provides. I called 3 other places in San Diego, and they all wanted to put me on a "plan" where they would have a chiropractor asses me for $120, then have me go to 5 sessions of $120 each. When I heard that, I ran as fast as possible from them, that sounded like a money pit. Cris, on the other hand, fixed me up for 1/5 the cost. I can't speak enough about how amazing Cris is. It's so relieving that I found someone who can fix my injuries without thousands of dollars of physical therapy or pain medications. If you don't try Cris out at least once, you're missing out on a pain free life. I'm taking my entire family to him from now on!! Try him out San Diego!! read more

Cris is the man when it comes to Accupuncture! I am a nurse which pans out to be a pretty physical job, and also exercise frequently. So naturally with these activities I have had some persistent aches and pains. Having tried massage and Motrin I decided to give Cris a try. I was pleasantly surprised at how much better I felt the minute I left the table. I had been having pain in my foot which my primary told me was Plantar Faciatis, Cris first did a thorough exam and said he thought the pain was coming from my calf being so tight. Mind you I had been having this persistent pain for over 8 months. After doing what the doctors suggested stretching and new foot inserts I found that nothing helped like an hour with Cris. If your considering it GO! He is very knowledgable, professional and easy to talk too. I also like the approach of looking at the body as a whole... If your having any muscular aches and pains don't hesitate to hit him up!! read more

Every session with Cris is tailored to my specific needs. I've been in for a shoulder injury, back pain, stretching and each time I've felt instant relief when I got off the table. The BEST part is that it's long term!! He isn't trying to get me or anyone else in for multiple sessions, he wants to get to the root of the problem that day and leave me as healthy as possible. I've been to soooo many acupuncturists but Cris is the only one who will change up my treatment according to my pain level or injury. I purchase all-natural supplements for my inflammation from him but I have NEVER once had him push any product on me. The only reason I found out about his supplements was because I mentioned in passing that I took them and needed more. It worked out perfectly that I can get treated by him and order those as well. I will be seeing Cris for life for prevention and treatment. read more

I am so thankful I reached out to a friend when I needed help finding an acupuncturist to help me relieve some pain in my knee due to a recent injury causing joint effusion. As an active person who loves high impact training and exercise I am constantly pushing myself. Well, a couple of months ago something happened to my knee and it progressively got worse because I continued to train on it. After experiencing more pain I reached out to Cris at Syntruvia because of the wonderful referral I received and his passion for treating sports related injuries. I am very happy that I came to see him. I cannot even begin to explain how transformative my very treatment was one week ago. He assessed my injury and talked to me very thoroughly before he began the treatment. As soon as the treatment started there was an immediate change in the way my knee felt. I could actually walk and straighten my leg and my range of motion increased almost immediately. One hour with Cris is truly a transformative experience. It was truly nothing like I have every experienced. Of course, I couldn't wait to schedule my 2nd treatment and am even more shocked at just how much it is helping me already. Cris is extremely knowledgeable, professional, kind, compassionate and he is a true healer. I can honestly say, that nothing has helped more than the two treatments I have had with Cris. If you are looking for someone to treat your mind, body and soul, or in this case any crazy injury you get from sports activities, you have to see Cris. I am looking forward to more treatments to help me with my knee and get back to my healthy active best self. I will continue to see Cris for prevention and treatment and look forward to it each time. If you are looking for an acupuncturist you have to go see Cris! I can't say enough about him and I will recommend anyone and everyone I know if they are looking for the very best self care and treatment. Trust me he's the bomb.com! read more

I cannot say enough about Cris del Rosario! I'm a marathon runner and I'm recovering from an injury. After going to Syntruvia I felt renewed and had the fastest run I've had in a long time. I have continued to get stronger with each run. My body knows when it's time to go back to Syntruvia for a tune up! Cris truly is the best in the business and he will get you back out there doing what you love. read more

I've never tried acupuncture before coming to Cris and now I can't imagine doing anything else for my injuries/pains! I had a shoulder pain that had bothered me for weeks until I had a session with Cris and my pain went down immediately after. It's been a week since the session and my shoulder is feeling perfect and I've had no problems with it while working out. Cris himself was so kind and his office was incredibly calming. He's checked up on me to make sure that I'm doing okay and I'll definitely be going back to him in the future. read more

I came to Dr. Cris to treat a really bad sprain on my right ankle and an uncomfortable strain on my left popliteal fossa that I got while hiking. It was quite bad that walking made it challenging for me. Before coming to Dr. Cris I've never had acupuncture treatment in my life. I was only assuming that going to him will at least decrease the pain and discomfort just enough so that walking will at least be bearable for me. He first started doing the treatment on my hand. I was like "ok. my injury is on the foot and leg. how is this going to help?" He explained to me how all these channels are connected in our body. So, I was like "ok. what the heck!" He was very accommodating and answered every confusion I had. After the treatment, he placed some liniment on my injuries and gave me some herbs for the pain. The discomfort in my popliteal was gone, and the sprain was about 80% gone. I continued with my herbal supplements and liniment that day. The following day I came back for a second treatment for my ankle. And OMG! It was completely gone! It was as if nothing happened. Amazing! If I hadn't gone to Dr. Cris I'm sure I probably wouldn't have been able to walk for at least one week. I highly recommend this guy! read more

Syntruvia - My first acupuncture ever with Dr. Cris. - Acupuncture Near Me - San Diego, California

I have been seeing Cris for about 2 months now, and I plan on continuing for a long time. I have a lot of issues in my back/shoulder/chest from overuse/ lots of weightlifting (I think), and Cris has been super attentive and through in trying to figure out exactly where my issues are coming from, and how to fix them. We have done deep massage, acupuncture (which I was not a fan of in the past, but I am now!), and cupping, which I had never done before. He has a lot of skills, and is very knowledgeable. I am confident that he will continue to help me with my body pains, and hopefully get rid of them for good! read more

I am a bikini fitness competitor and push my body to the limits every day, I have been to tons of acupuncturists, Cris is definitely the best I've been to! He helps me manage aches and pains from over training as well as healing for my muscles surrounding my thoracic spinal issues. Besides being great at what he does he is just awesome to talk to. I feel so great whenever I leave him. Thanks Cris! read more

I have had my fair share of injuries between snowboarding, dance, and cheerleading. Cris is able to make me feel human again by addressing my back and neck issues. I have been to chiropractors in the past but have not found relief until going to Cris. The patient room is relaxing and the online appointment system makes it easy to book! read more

I came to Cris with a great deal of stress related anxiety and neck pain. As Syntruvia sits inside a cross fit style gym, I was concerned Cris would take a solely mechanical or functional approach with a primary focus on sports related injuries. This concern evaporated immediately after I met him, as he took a wholistic approach to my pain, investigating my mind and spirit. Seeing Cris was my weekly refuge and refueling; the treatments, the pre-session discussions and the tranquil environment all came together to give me relief from tension and stress. I'm very grateful to Cris, I couldn't recommend him more highly. read more

I have had chronic neck and shoulder pain for 20 years. I have lived on pain pills, ibuprophin, and muscle relaxers. As well, I have seen physical therapy, craniosacral therapy and chiropractors with minimal change. After only 8 sessions, I have noticed huge improvements. Chris incorporates stretching, massage, cupping and other techniques with his acupuncture. He has a very orthopedic approach, perfect for athletes. I have had tremendous improvement and look forward to a pain free life. (which I had pretty much given up on) Chris is very tuned into the human body and is able to find all my trigger points, muscle tightness, as well as weakness. Strongly recommended!! read more

If you are looking for a great acupuncturist stop reading this and go make an appointment with Cris now, I'll even make it easy for you 858-531-2586. I injured my right arm in February, I couldn't tell you which activity did it but I can tell you how bad it hurt, I couldn't raise my arm at all, Cris got me in right away, assessed the damage and went to work. It was my deltoid and rotator cuff, if you have never injured your rotator cuff you have no idea the amount of things that require a rotator cuff, such as washing your hair, hugging someone, brushing your teeth, putting on and taking off a bra, every day things. My first appointment Cris told me upfront, the pain wouldn't be gone immediately but should be better and it was so much better. It took about 6 months of therapy for me to be able to raise my right arm again without pain, I got weekly acupuncture and massage and never had to have surgery or take any pain killers, I also didn't have to immobilize my arm. Then after I got my right arm fixed, the left rotator cuff got hurt, this side responded quickly and I just had my last apt with Cris on Tuesday and my arm is all better. I'm a little sad I won't need to see Cris every week because it is so much fun going in for my appointments and hanging out with Cris. read more

I first visited Cris about a year ago when I was experiencing lower back pain, due to over exertion and heavy lifting at work. I had never had acupuncture before, but was definitely willing to give it a go as the pain was acute and ongoing. I am very happy that I did, and even more so that I found Chris. I now go to Syntruvia once a month for a 'tune up' - a combination of acupuncture, massage and stretching...it's almost like a reset, and something that I really enjoy and value. Cris takes time to discuss what's going on in your life that might be contributing to stress, bad habits forming etc and it genuinely helps me to be more mindful of what I do day to day. Syntruvia is awesome, and I highly recommend it if you have any kind of injury, or if you're just looking to take a little better care of yourself. read more

Syntruvia has become a staple in my life. I am a nurse who works nights and on my days off I am all go, go, go but my body doesn't always want to keep up. Since I was eighteen years old, I have had issues with sciatica bilaterally in my lower back. I have carpel tunnel, plantar fasciitis and recently started having debilitating migraines that affect me while working. Cris, the Acupuncturist, has worked wonders on all of these problems happening in my body. I visit Cris at his Mission Gorge location since I am also a member of the fitness center where his office is located. However, you do NOT have to be a member of the facility in order to see him regularly. His office has ample space and when you walk in your body transforms into what I like to call "relaxation" mode. There are essential oils diffusing, the lighting is perfect and the space just says "come lay down and make your body feel better." Cris does a very thorough examination on your first visit and does an assessment on what your needs are. He helps you create a plan of care in order to treat your ailments or to keep your body functioning at optimal level. I saw him two weeks ago for my painful migraines I've been having. I've already tried just about every over the counter medication and my primary care physician had just prescribed prescription medication. However, I hesitate to take any new medications, so I turned to Syntruvia. I've had two sessions with Cris for this issue in the last two weeks and I've been migraine free since the first session. I can't say enough amazing things about this Cris and his company. But the only way for you to discover how wonderful acupuncture could be for your body is to call and make an appointment today! read more

Chris is wonderful. I was very impressed with his knowledge of acupuncture and treatment of my shoulder. After one treatment I felt immediate relief. His bedside manner is very warm and makes every effort to make you feel comfortable. Book your appointment today. You won't regret it. read more

I have a history of herniated disk in my lower back and dealing with constant pain everyday, until I came across Syntruvia. I was in San Diego for a conference and heard about Cris from a friend so I decided to give it a try, and boy I am so glad that I did. After one hour session which included series of acupuncture needles and some cupping followed by some physical therapy stretches, I found myself with such a relief from my lower back pain that I totally forgot about my herniated disk injury in the first place. Luckily I was in San Diego long enough to go back for the 2nd treatment and get the most healing from this magical healing acupuncturist. It has been sometime since my last treatment and I could say that after only two treatments my back pain has reduced by over 80%. Unfortunately I live on the eastcoast and I can't continue with Syntruvia for regular weekly treatments to completely heal, but from now on everytime I am in San Diego, I will make sure to book a treatment session with Cris. San Diego, you are so lucky to have Syntruvia or an acupanturist like Cris in your city. read more
