My fiancé and I came out for the free intro class, which was fun, and decided we'd join up for the onramp classes (12 in total), and a further 3 month commitment. We ended up finding the intro class to be misleading as to what Crossfit really was (bad on me for not looking into this more), Crossfit is alot of high intensity training sometimes until failure, lots of Olympic weight lifting.. There's a good chance you will hurt yourself, google it. If you decide after your commitment you want to quit, no problem, but they'll keep 2 months of fees, which ended up being $600 between me and my fiancé, and that's in addition to the $300 they kept for the onramp portion. $900 total. (The two months for cancellation is spelled out in 2 different clauses in the contract, it's there, but its definitely not worded clearly). And good luck getting them to return your phone call, the only way I could get them to reply to me after a month of calling and leaving voice mails was by email. Save your money. Get P90X instead, its way safer, and cheaper. read more

Coaches are very knowledgeable, movement options are always scaled to an appropriate level for each individual's fitness abilities, and the community is so supportive! Their focus is technique over weight which is so nice to see in CrossFit (or most gyms in general). read more

I haven't lived in Saskatoon in close to 10 years, but boy do I wish this amazing facility existed when I lived there and was going to U of S! My name is Kim, I'm 25 years old and a University student. I started doing Crossfit at Synergy a year ago, and 70lbs heavier than I am now. I joined because, quite simply, I was at the end of my rope. Both physically and emotionally I was wasted, I felt stuck. I've been overweight and out of shape my entire life and I finally decided I needed to take a leap and accept radical change into my life. I came across Synergy on google and without knowing anything about it, I signed up. I haven't looked back since, other than to smile and celebrate the success. When I joined I couldn't run 200 meters without getting gassed, today I can comfortably run for a half an hour without taking walking breaks. Also, I can now do push-ups, pull-ups, and all kinds of neat Olympic weight lifts. Synergy's attention to hard work, detail and very importantly, to safety, has been outstanding. Thanks in very large part to the time I've spent at this gym, my outlook on life has shifted drastically. I really do believe my time at Synergy saved my life, and I don't say this to be dramatic. I say it because every day I go and put everything I have into a workout, I am more complete, I am more confident, and I am more proud of the person I am and the person I am becoming. Essentially, I am finally, after 25 years, learning who I am and embracing that person. Could I have done this on my own? Very unlikely, I had no clue what this kind of transformation would entail. In fact, I'm pretty positive I couldn't have done it alone because I've tried; since joining Synergy I've been supported by the coaches and the incredible community. I almost consider them an extension of my family now, they know me, they care about me, they encourage me, they challenge me, and they cheer me on.
